The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

You'd think someone who with a little luck could have played in a comfortable GF win is pretty good. (Surely Brisbane's depth goes well beyond 24 players and such a competent team doesn't have clueless selectors.) I don't know what happened. He hardly did anything worthy this year. Fingers crossed there was a good reason and King can get more out of 'im.

Need a lot more out of Harry Sharp, has pace and not a bad kick, needs to get involved and start to impose himself on the game.

Harry Sharp makes Sparrow look like a superstar……. who I’m not overly keen on.

The less said the better on the flatman

At least Checkers has contributed at AFL really well.

Sharp on the other hand has come back as a reincarnation of Tom Gillies.

Love sharp when he actually gets the ball and takes the game on with his speed and when he touches the ball good things seem to happen but he just dosen’t get the ball near the amount he needs to

I can only think of a handful of good things, when subbed in when opposition fatigued. So he can do stuff, but not enough.

How did he perform in the preseason endurance stuff?

Got worse as the year went on after a promising pre season game (4 goals) and glimpses in the early part of the season.

Is a known goal kicker and yet kicked 0.5 in his last 7 games of the season.

Not excited in the slightest going forward for Sharp.

Has that rare combo of a huge tank and speed. To my eye, he buzzes around ineffectually without having a real crack. It gives me the [censored].

I think Dull would be a better name. Another Fullerton. Beware the Lions bearing gifts.

The sad part is that of all the TRADES we have made since 2021, he was the only one to get on the ground this year, along with Billings minimal contribution. Now there is only him and McAdam and Campbell left.

Talk about a low base!

Nah, H will be a DL whipping boy ‘til the day he’s no longer a Demon, regardless of who else comes in. Sure, there’ll be others who cop it but there’s no law that says there can’t be more than one mercilessly whipped player on DL. It’s not like it’s unprecedented.

Luckily for Sharpie he’s an irrepressible ball of energy and enthusiasm. He’s super grateful we picked him up and remains proud to be a Dee. He may not be setting the world on fire but that’s not for want of trying.

So far from 3 years with McAdam we have the first year being a wash out he was hardly fit enough to play VFL. Second injury in preseason ended his year. 2 poor results out of 3 years. IMO he will need a big 2026, I struggle to see that happening. The Crows must laughing. Yep a very low base.

Given he is on the list next year and he has wheels, a tank and reasonable disposal, the new coach has got to develop a game style that gets the ball to him and others like him, more often. We need more outside running receivers and less inside experienced bulls just hack kicking the ball forward to no one. Sharp might work in a more attacking game style.

This. I think we will see a greater improvement in him next season. But what do I know, I go into every season optimistic!
