I know people are trying to pin stuff on Trac but he wasn't in the party that went to Goodwin's house to sack him. He wasn't at the Clarrie meeting where he spat the dummy. People forget Coteries, player managers and even staff get a lot of info and they have media scribes on speed dial.

And we can all identify at least half a dozen DL'ers who get very accurate inside info. Who is leaking to them? I bet it isn't Trac and I bet it isn't the same person leaking to all the DL'ers. So clearly there are various leakers. And who else is each of those leakers leaking to. I bet it isn't only to DL'ers.

I hope the potting of Trac on DL stops soon, especially as it is speculative at best.

I will stick up for him and Clarrie until the potting of them stops.

Can you please understand that there is a difference between Chook in Perth, Dannyz, and goodwindees getting benign info on internal policy and player strategy, versus having sensitive and destructive information provided directly to journalists to achieve a specific end of embarrassment or shame.

One is not like the other.

I'm sure there are many inside mfc (and any other organisation) has people in that other category. Clubs themselves leak info to shame or embarass players when it suits them. Machiavellian characters are everywhere.

It is just plain wrong to take cheap shots at one person unless they can provide examples of the 'embarrassment and shame' leaks.

I was insinuating Trac, I was wondering whether the leaks will stop now.

We've had numerous articles about the club recently that talk of new CEO, new President, new coach etc, we have a fresh start.

In other words, there's no real need to leak damaging information about the club.

So King only spoke to Petracca, Oliver and May? The contracted players he was happy to let go? They’re the publicised conversations but I would expect king to have chatted with every player on the list. Maybe some for longer than others but I’d expect him to want a relationship to be built with every one, right from the start. Yes it’s off season, so a quick five minute phone call is plenty, and I would think settling for a player to know where they stand so they can enjoy their off season better.

Player managers leak to the media to assist their clients getting favourable press.

Player managers usually get their way with a trade to the club of their clients choosing often for less than fair value.

The Don's bucked that system with Merret.

Player managers can influence a players choice of destination so it does not pay clubs to get offside with them.
