Interesting situation.

If we announce weโ€™re moving on from Trac, our bargaining power takes a substantial hit, and weโ€™d be unlikely to get fair value.

If Trac says he wants out, his options are limited to only where we believe the best offer is. Otherwise, we hold him to his deal.

Who blinks first?

Well summed upย

Fogarty straight swap

To quote John McEnroe, you cant be serious.

Fogarty is way too one dimensional and just not that good.

Maybe straight swap for Philthorpe, but even then our real need is gun kicks with wheels not forwards

They wonโ€™t be trading Riley but Iโ€™d swap Trac for him everyday of the week. Adelaide donโ€™t appear to have either the pick(s) or the kicks to satisfy a deal. Letโ€™s see what others come up with.

If they paid his fat contract, and gave us next years first, we would be arrested for robbery.

Cant see Tracc heading to Adelaide the town.

Heโ€™s not quick, in fact his lack of pace is a big worry.

I'm convinced you just guess at a player's pace.

When I read your comment I thought to myself, do I ever remember thinking Flanders was slow ? After-all, he's been in my Fantasy side more than once. No, I never had. So, I thjought I'd check his junior profile.

''His hands are his greatest asset when in midfield, coupling with his explosive power which while he clocks a three-second flat 20-metre sprint, is also helped with his sheer strength to burst away from opponents and gain some much needed separation on his opponents.''

You talk utter nonsense half the time, interspersed with some good stuff.

3 second 20m is not quick for a 183cm player. It restricts his ability to break lines or pressure as a half back or half forward. Itโ€™s adequate for a midfielder but teams - none more so than the team we just hired a coach from - just keep getting quicker.

I never said he was quick. I've never thought it either.

In fact, if you hadn't said, ''his lack of pace is a big worry'', which is utter garbage, I wouldn't be in dialogue with you.

The ANZ have been robbing the community for years and none of them have been arrested Bluey! We need to be harder to deal without being the bombers.

Not forwards Binman! we have Zero KPF of any talent.

The Age claiming Jai Simkin wants out of the Kangas for more midfield time.

Excuse my ignorance RM but I don't know him is he any good? We have a number of midfielders why would we be interested?

Geez the bombers really have gotten off quite lightly (compared to us) with the actual exodus of players (not just the rumoured, baseless drivel we had to face from the media for a few years, without any notable departures).

Imagine if we had their level of departures? Caro et al would implode.

Maybe it's not her brief here, but Caro loves to pot the Bombres, too.

Clarry's mate. Interesting.

If Petracca moves to Adelaide, he can become an authentic Croweater by changing his surname to Petracca-Beischer.

Of the four teams still in the hunt for a flag which has a forward line stacked full of gun key forwards?

Another club captain!

Don't know but what i do know is the best we can offer is JVR with an average of 1 per game. Our best and i am not sure we would classify him as a KPF is Melksham with an average of 1.7 per game. Sadly Melksham is at the end. God knows who we look to for the future.

Pretty good. I wouldn't go after him but if he wanted to come, he'd help our midfield. Good ball user. Would make our midfield better. Not sure about cap.

Wing/high half forward/midfield. Has understandably been pushed out by Sheezel, Warlord and LDU with O'Sullivan and McKercher waiting in the wings.

I take your point that the teams left don't have multiple gun key forwards (besides Geelong maybe).

But they do all have a forward whose kicked over 40+

Geelong - Cameron (85) Neale (42)

Hawthorn - Gunston (70)

Brisbane - Morris (51)

Collingwood - Elliot (56) Not a KPF but plays like one

So without a trade the questions become: Can Fritta get back to his best kicking 40+? Can JVR bounce back to get back on his post-2024 trajectory? Can Melksham stay healthy at 34? Does Kozzy go up another level and push 50+ goals? Does the Petty experiment continue until our aging backs can't play at the level?

The answer to me lies in how we move the ball to these forwards and the how/where they kick their goals from. If we can transition the ball more efficiently and effectively the forwardline we have could work. Its more about the transition and how we set up/move through the middle of the ground for me. I am so sick of seeing our forwards lining up for set shots from severe angles or deep in pockets because we weren't able to get the ball to them quick enough meaning the only remaining space they had were the deep pockets or wide 50m arc where the defense is happy to concede if they have to.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven Mayย

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
