Will the Tigers even sing the song?

genuinely the worst game of all time

and yes, I am a melbourne supporter

They’re extremely young and they’ve had a much better season than anyone expected. A win is a win when you’re in a rebuild.

Credit to Yze.

My goodness what is going on at the G? Richmond haven't kicked a goal since the 1st quarter & essendons only kicked 1.

Terrible. It's not like it's raining

Is this the Dreamtime at the G, or a snoozefest 💤?

Tigers v Dons making our boys look like killers…

It’s heartwarming watching the Tiges on the boundary doing selfies and autographs.

So the tigs are 1 win behind us.

Compare their list to ours and that’s pathetic but probs sums up our season and where we r at unfortunately.

We need to get essendon later in the season when they're going down hill.

Not early on when they're up & about

Shame we can't see brads presser

They have, indeed, won just one fewer game than us to this point of the season.

In a year where some thought they might not win a game and some thought we might play finals.

FWIW though, that game was horrendous. They were terrible but won because Essendon were, somehow, worse.

Yze is a fantastic coach. Tactically and also managerially. Few coaches would have done better with the list they currently have. Compare to North under Clarkson who have a far more talented list.

I only watched the last 10 minutes and it was a horrible horrible game. But winning ugly is better than losing pretty. Credit to Richmond they defended their lead well.

KK thinks he's no good.

I think you're a much better judge 'Jaded'...

It's a pity he is not still with us.

And people think the talent pool is not stretched too thin . It will get worse with the addition of Tassie. In the near future there will be 8 sides that have no hope of playing finals from round 1 every season.

I saw him described somewhere as a generational talent DJ. I'm not seeing it, not in Tests.

Why on earth did they choose Andy Brayshaw for an interview straight after the siren? He has a huge gash in his head and blood was running down the side of his face. There’s literally 22 other players they could interview.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
