Stringer looks lean, fit and angry and could make a massive difference if they make finals. The Bummers absolutely stuffed up his training and fitness management. GWS looking potent v the Cats.

Absolutely he’s fitness. Thus the good kicks in pressure situations

Playing beyond Fatigue and still nailing a kick, Mark or Handball

That’s Fitness Dub….

Cats are playing horribly. After 4 early goals they’ve kicked 2 in 2 quarters

Does play some part but the majority of kicking is skill. A lot of it you’re born with like Rankine, Dawson etc and the rest is junior coaching

Their skills in the first half before major fatigue was unbelievably good

it was a nothing hit too. happens all the time

so it’d it’s outcome and not the action the afl might give the bloke 6 weeks

Jesse Hogan - what could have been...

And Cadman beginning to fulfill his potential.

Frightening duo.

I agree. But after Halftime is when the Burgess Training shines

Players can still execute to a high level without fatigue

It’s exactly what the MFC lack right now.

That 1-2% of extra Fitness we had as a list in ‘21

Adelaide are a serious chance at a Flag this year….

Dwayne just said good mark by Mac Aleer

😬

😂

The Club tried very hard to get Cadman, but it was impossible….

3 upsets in a row

this is fun to watch

Pies, Cats and dogs losing always helps my mood

How did the Giants land the #1 Draft pick Cadman?

Can't blame the Bummers fitness dept.
He only got himself fit during contract years.
Same at the bulldogs.

outside the 8 with 11 wins with 6 games to go!

14 (maybe 15) wins is a minimum for finals this year!

They gave up pick 3, 12 and a second rounder in a huge trade involving JHF and Rioli

Is every game going to have dominant big men kicking 6 goals?

killing me!

Gee Cadman is an exciting prospect.

Looks like it's finally clicked for Cadman. Good for him, it's exciting to see.

Hopefully Jeffo takes a leaf or two out of his book.

The thing that [censored] me about this is the AFL have endorsed this kind of action (ref. Pendlebury let off for striking Lachie Neale in the solar plexus with open palm in recent years, etc.).

Now a similar action has led to a player suffering a collapsed lung. Striking is striking, irrespective of whether it is via fist or palm. Well done AFL, this is on you.

Wish the Dees had a youngster like Cadman. Just looks like a player. A footballer. A goalkicker. Somehow we have to get a key forward one day who just looks like he knows what the game is about.

Check your sums again, grasshopper.

If Freo wins, the Bulldogs will be in 9th spot on 40 points.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
