It's really only the Kozzie factor that draws me in today.

Another bust of a season.

I hope we can rectify our fwd line in the off season. One can only hope

For some reason I feel we will give the crows a scare for three quarters before being overwhelmed.

Hoping to see more glimpses from our young players.

Jefferson, JVR, Kolt, Langford, Bowey, McVee and Lindsay.

These guys are the future now and I hope thr likes of Jefferson and Kolt can really start to showcase their talent and show why we took them early. Not only that, its time they start locking down a permanent position in our best 22.

Is it Jvrs 50th game today?

Memo to MFC:

Game starts 3.15 CST

Go us !!

Hope the lads rise to the challenge.

Again... 3.15 šŸ˜‰

Go Dees!

Not so confident today. Chin up lad.

I remember SN34 and son, on Ripponlea train, waiting to go to a tigers match . They were good we were not.

My closing remarks like, I hope your boy enjoys the game and has a win. Must be 15 years ago or more.

And it worked. Go Dee’s

10 goal loss incoming I fear. Only thing I'd like to see out of this game is JvR and Jeffo have a real crack and maybe kick a few goals between them.

No one is expecting us to win this one, so a loss will barely make a ripple in the media landscape.

A loss to North and then Carlton could spell an early end to Goodwin's contract though.

I have underwear like that, I wear two so I can say I have clean jocks.

I'm assuming from the lack of posts in this thread that most people are like me and are completely over this season. I don't think I've ever been less interested in a season than this one.

Agree. Yesterday I barely watched any footy & last night I watched a bit of the hawks game but I was mainly flicking between the storm game & Wimbledon

Lovely day in Adelaide, looking forward to supporting the boys. Too many here worried about the destination and not the journey.

Yes

All the favourites have won so far so we will be the upset….Demons by 11 points

This is a miserable season on par with Neeld era

Nothing can beat Neeld era, nothing!

Admire the positivity

Maybe the optimism and gut feeling in me think this will be much closer then some actually think.

Don't know what to expect today. Can't believe that one week in the 2nds will help Lever or JVR find form. Maybe being out of the finals race will release the shackles a bit. Deep down i feel that the player are not listening to Goodwin anymore "if in fact they ever did". I don't even know if a win is helpful at the moment " just covers up the cracks". Still I want to see a win in fact seven more wins for the season.

Too late 🤭

Three big marking forwards will trouble our dysfunctional backline.

And if the ball hits the ground we'll get smashed as well.

If we don't come out with enormous pressure in the first qtr the players will have clearly checked out of season 2025

Nice day for gardening

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom CampbellĀ with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprenticeĀ Will VerrallĀ who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
