watching the live stream of zimbos vs saffies; latter started like their were suffering from a premiership hangover, but they've come back with pretorious already on 110 off 123

Fed up of the excuses from our club who have butchered our list with pathetic trades and missed opportunities, watching Huston playing for the filth after he turned his back on us due to the culture issues!

Houston has been average all year. Not worth near a first rounder

I’m glad we have Lindsay who will be a gun for 15 years

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

Just saw the replay in an Age article.

He could be "gone".

Remember the VFL player who jumped the fence and flattened a spectator in the Army Reserve Cup at the old South Melbourne ground.

Those were the days !!!!

Dan Curtin putting on a clinic. Has terrific size and a laser left foot. Would’ve been handy.

that was quite the hay maker!

punch to the back to the back in true Lynch gutless style

I just saw Treacy get a heavy knee in the ribs while going for a mark. I hope it hurt . Remember how he ruthlessly attacked Max’s back with his knee twice in the pre-season game this year. I felt it went beyond the “ duty of care” .

So many players on other teams get all day to get outside 5. Not ours - instant 50. At least 10 times this season.

Not sure whether it’s just because I’m old, but almost all of the “free after disposal”, downfield free kicks, have been rubbish for the whole year.

A part of the game is to put pressure on the ball carrier until they dispose of the ball. At this stage, players cannot afford to touch anyone disposing of the ball for fear they might fall over and give an easy free kick 50m down the field.

Players are just falling over at the drop of a hat after disposing of the ball. I don’t think it’s poor balance. It’s just milking these ridiculous rules.

Turning out to be a pretty decent game over in Perth. Not high scoring, but looks like it’s going to go down to the wire.

Also a reminder this week that no team in the league can kick.

Fox Footy. Freo v Saints. Seriously it is like watching DOCKERS TV. Pavlich is calling for Freo free kicks. It’s so biased. Saints supporters would turn the volume OFF !!!

True. But I can’t see him making a comeback.

No probably not.

Solid bed-[censored] by Saints here :-)

Caught them by surprise, I think.

To be fair, I don’t think they were expecting the bedding or the bowel movement at the beginning of this round.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
