Spargo - some serious moments

And that is Spargo. Has never got it a lot, but when he is around the ball, good things generally happen. Underrated on here imo.

Bit rough on Thulstrup , 14 possies, 4 tackles and 5 score involvements is pretty good for a small fwd. 0.3 hurts but still 3 shots on goal!

Still learning his craft. Showed a fair bit of promise for me. Some bad fumbles but again still growing.

Spargo works blo#dy hard.

Has missed a lot of footy.

With kozzie in the middle I would like to see Spargo up fwd a lot more.

Tough on Spargo. But most fairly accurate.

Thanks JB.

Tholstrup has a 12 week injury, no pre season, and then thrown straight into thr deep end, no VFL, he’ll be fine !

Correct

And to expect much more than 14 possessions from a 19yo player who is playing a small forwards role is totally unrealistic

Kolt needs to convert his opportunities but he's not alone in that dept. (from an overall perspective)

The MC would be very happy with his development but that might mean that he could play some games at Casey as part of that development

At a lower level, he'd be better suited as a frontline midfielder in order to develop his overall game

Tholstrop reminds me of a Chandler 2.0. A little rough in the early stages and was up and down both in form and the main team. Another pre-season and consistent game time has allowed him to flourish. This forum lacks patience with the young kids.

Spargo. In 108 minutes of footy… 5 kicks 9 handballs 86 metres gained, pressure rating Low, 1 tackle (when Hunt rang into him). 1 goal from that tackle !! Two missed tackles. Just barely barely a game. Lucky he got that goal in the last quarter. We need much much more from him!!!

Much much better

Agree.

I underrate him and then I see him setting up scoring chances.

He is one of those players like ANB, who are not always noticed by fans, but are valued inside their club.

Can have quiet games, like many hff’s.

Edit.... might want to do it more often 🤔 😏

Doing it more often would be better.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
