Levers sitting on the bench pumping the boys up, patting them on the back & bringing the encouragement.

The moon boot isn't nice to see.

what’s with 6 goals in a qtr? I just travelled from 2012 back to 2018. hopefully I can stay here.

Trac and Clarry can decide this game. If they are both 100% invested to the final siren, we win.

sigh, it’s the hope that kills you. I am ready to be devastated in approx 2 hours.

Be that as it may. This is the footy we can play. It all comes down to pressure and effort. That is what has been missing for the last 4 weeks… why, is anybody’s guess.

Honestly one of the most enjoyable quarters I've watched in 2 years!

Pressure is up.

Goals scored from honouring leading players.

Tracc and Kozzie ground level goals.

Goal from centre clearance handball, not bombing it in.

2 turnover goals stemming from poor kick from Tracc inside 50 and Oliver long dump kick.

As are most of his kicks

We are on but room for improvement.

Freo are not near their best yet so we have to remain switched on.

Our disposal by foot is so much better, handball needs immediate improvement.

Very watchable game

Amiss immediately looked in board. Didn’t even look at the goals.

Chinny Chin Chin...❤️

Spargo why on earth would you call for you absolute nuffy

Great kick by Langford to Petty. Absolute bullet with the right weight.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
