No Tom Fullarton club debut announcement yet? Going to go out on a limb and guess he’s not been named this week

I don’t know what he did to Goody but his papers seem to be absolutely marked

(happy to be proven wrong at 6:20 though)

Think we can all assume that's the case unfortunately.

Think I heard Goodwin on sen saying he thought Fritta had turned the corner last week so assume it won’t happen. Not surprised at all with selection news or lack of tbh.

Prob no support for Gawn either, let’s just keep running him into the ground and have our young forward JVR cover for him makes perfect sense FFS

Drives me nuts.

Played like rubbish for a whole season?

Irrelevant when he’s now been our best forward at VFL level for the past month and can’t get a look in

Selection is absolutely cooked when we don’t reward players who are in strong form - especially when we don’t have a single forward who is in any type of form

We are gutless when it comes to team selection. How about dropping players horribly out of form and giving players in form in the seconds a run. Disgrace.

Annnnnnnd there it is - only Lindsay in for Turner

Linsday back, Rivers into the mids, Petracca forward.

Stability is good, it's been a selection merry-go-round up till now which is disastrous in terms of game plan etc.

Casey have only played 3 games and Fullarton was leading goal kicker in one.

Long kicks from Viney? During practice matches Viney seemed to find team mates with his kicks but not now. A fair percentage of Viney's kicks are smothered and he seems to lack the awareness that it will happen. A favourite player of mine for his tenacity but he doesn't seem to have any peripheral vision and does not sidestep to avoid tackles. It is "get ball, kick ball' and it is usually up and under thus giving team mates a task.

Yep needs to be dropped!

Yep friggen RUBBISH SELECTIONS, THE SOONER HE GOES THE BETTER! 1 CHANGE FRIGGEN PAAAAARK ME🤯😵‍💫😵

Small ball to try and expose Essendon's oversized defence I don't mind, but it's not a sustainable forward line with no height

Even more forwardline time coming for Trac.

I know he can be effective there but we need him firing in the middle. We can't be relying on a 19 year old each week with that responsibility.

I reckon there's fitness concerns or maybe they're protecting him somewhat after last years events.

All I hope is now with Lindsay back in playing HB/Wing with Windsor that this will finally free up Rivers to go into the middle.

Our selection integrity has been an issue for a while

I’d love to be a fly on the wall

Love to hear some back story to the fullarton family fall out last year which someone mentioned

So we're going in with only one tall forward in JvR who is horribly out of form and low on confidence?

Turner in and out of the team.

Fullarton not rewarded for 10 goals in 3 games and improved contested work.

I don't normally bemoan team selections but this is strange.

Not to mention multiple mids/fwds horribly out of form and yet don't seem to be at risk of being dropped.

He only makes changes due to injury, never form.

He has his ideal 22 and is too afraid to drop due to poor form.

Zero selection integrity and zero pressure to perform in the seniors.

This dill is dead set killing this list. Thanks for the flag now [censored] off

Fullarton has kicked 10 goals in 3 games at VFL level. He has been leading high and creating scores when not deep forward and playing really well. If that isn't enough to warrant a look in when we have no other tall forwards to take pressure off Roo (who now has to play back up ruck and singular key forward in a forward line that is getting the worst delivery in the league) then what point is there in producing solid, good form in the 2s? There's no reward because Goodwin can't get his rose tinted glasses off and actually drop underperforming "stars".

Since the flag we have recruited players from other teams on the basis on a fair shot at senior football, promised them the world then dumped them in the VFL and left them to rot. Grundy, Fullarton, Campbell, Dunstan, Billings to name a few.

We are going to run Gawn into the ground well before kings birthday, trac is already frustrated, Roo will end up a wreck like Watts with no support. Time to get rid of Goodwin, thank him for his effort and try and salvage the season and put a plan into place going forward.

Coz this is the root of the whole problem, selection integrity is SHEEEIT, Which means players are losing trust in Footy Dept coz too many luuuuve childs get a game on zero or almost zero form whilst others are left to rot in the magoos inspite of consistent form!!🤮

Perhaps Petty will play a blinder while Adelaide people watch him, then he can be traded. Only my view but he is sadly out of form but still gets picked

I agree Fullarton needs a go, We’ve replaced a forward with a back man after kicking 6 GOALS!!!

Replace Goodwin with Bassett

The clubs going backwards

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
