The usual ****wits saying their usual [censored]. Funny how it's never about Geelong or Collingwood.

They wanted us to compete for Buckley with Tassie and draw direct conclusions on us, Nathan, Tassie etc.

Buckley and our appointment are making that difficult so there are frustrated.

I wouldn’t give it much heed.

But I would applaud people like myself who were pushing for a process and not an all-in on Buckley that would have gone pear shaped…

I wonder how the media would have slammed Goody, if it was him dining two rival club Captains.

Clearly the landscape has changed in that space, it is now anything goes.

I am finding Sam McLure nearly unwatchable, with his yelling and getting every prediction wrong.

"I don't get how you can walk past the Bailey Smith issue without any form of addressing it publicly."

Why Damo is disappointed with the AFL's lack of response to Bailey Smith's latest incident.

Isn’t it funny. They guessed Nathan Buckley, they were wrong and instead of admitting that the process itself has to be rotten.

We interviewed and chose Steven king, we are happy so beyond that who cares?

Media staying silent on Scott’s outburst at a vision impaired journalist, and brushing Smith’s repulsive behavior towards a photographer under the rug

Jon Ralph 🤡 is an [censored] So the Crows could offer their 2025 first round and 2026 first round picks Effectively given the compromised draft, like picks 21 or 22 in each year What a clown !!! That’s a [censored] shizzzen deal

Ralph suggested the Demons should be open to a deal for two first-round picks to help them add to their young nucleus.”

“Melbourne hasn’t got a first-round pick this year ... they’ve got a nucleus of young kids, but they haven’t got an enough young A-graders, they need to get into this draft,” he said.If Adelaide would give them their first-round pick this year and next year, I think it’s something Steven King would have to think about”

I agree with this. Also, the journos might have their noses out of joint because the story didn't leak.

Correct. they ran a narrative that everything is leaking out of Melbourne and it's Buckleys job to lose and a boat race

Plot twist, we chose Steven King, the CEO said Steven King was chosen outright, it didn't in any way, shape or form leak and the media have egg on their face.

The whole idea we asked Buckley what he'd say if we offered him the job is confirmation we wanted him looks silly when you watch the presser from yesterday and see we asked Steven King the same question. It shows we really wanted a coach who desperately wanted the job

Happy to go with... actually wanted it... not kicking tyres 😉

The price on Petracca is a top 10 pick this year and change. If no one is fronting up that, do not seek. The media are driving and willing this to happen and hoping we get shafted. It’s up to us to get value. It’s not a fire sale. The rhetoric from Morris and Ralph is absurd as usual

it amuses me no end that zach merrett is worth two first round picks but trac is not

i know who has contributed more to winning games of football over the course of their respective careers

Edited by whatwhat say what

Why would Trac want to represent fans like these and move to Port? Why are Port even in the calculation… They are as inbred as they come and fit the typical stereotypes. 😂🤣

They want us to be [censored] playing 1:10 every Sunday. How about no. It is sports entertainment so we will be allowed to play finals every few years but not like the HQ favourites who are there nearly every year.

AFL AND THE MEDIA … shhhhh nothing to see here !!!

Imagine if it was Steven May!!! Boy the dogs would unleash on us !!!

Bailey Smith was angered by being photographed receiving treatment at an open media session.

“In more than two decades of covering the Cats, I’ve never been spoken to like that by a player,” Alison Wynd, the photographer involved, told News Corp.

“I appreciate Bailey acknowledging that his behaviour was unacceptable.

I think his contract is a huge deterrent.

Spot on Clint...It is so apparent now that this is the way the AFL now operates

Media have gone very hard at Smith what are you on about?

Gerard Whateley

“The worst part is the character assassination, like we saw with Christian Petracca last year”.

The MFC and players did not ridicule or demean Petracca at all. Please restate your conversation. @

Barely a mention. It was a generic mention on the footy talk shows. Now just a distant memory. Smith has got away again with arrogant and misogynistic behaviour.

The AFL action or comment … nil. Silence. Ffs that’s the bias towards the Cats again on show.

Not true. Stories quickly leaked out of the club about Christians motivations and players opinions about his commitment.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
