Max doesn't need coaching - he could teach Russian quite a few things. But he should be an excellent coach for Verralls, AJ, Campbell and the part-timers: TMac, Petty, Roo.

I think it comes back to the old adage that you should never stop learning.
It’s great to see some investment in this area. No single player has all the answers without needing somebody to bounce ideas off. It should be great for the older guys.
I think it should also be very beneficial for the Fish as they also have similar body types.

Welcome back Mark Jamar who can forget that year when he and Brent Moloney killed it in the midfield. He also made Max work extra hard to finally take the No.1 ruck berth off him. Very happy with this appointment.

If I remember correctly Mark was given the name “Russian” by Nick Walsh an Irishman on our rookie list. Mark kept calling him “paddy”, and his response was “what would you know you great big Russian”.
