I am actually happy we play GW$ first up.
if we play the old static style of the last 2-3 years, we will get murdered

We have to be innovative and proactive next week

Same here. No queues at the bar or loo.

Big time.

I forgot how good the Giants backline is

Is Daicos Cam a new initiative for Fox this year?

what mind?

Well, you know how there used to be a theory that some of the bigger dinosaurs had a second brain located in their [censored]? Sadly it got demoted (a bit like Pluto) for being too small and non-functional.

Speaking of... always nice to see Maynard having a stinker. Especially liked him copping an accidental bump from a teammate because he'd thrown himself down trying to draw a fake free.

Free to air tv - if all else fails play re-runs of Friends or Seinfeld.

Fox sport - if all else fails show some bland meaningless thing involving a Daicos.

Apart from some great run-and-carry by the Giants, what a carp game of footy for a Sunday arvo. Dropped marks, poor foot skills decorated by some packs and tackling.

Why is everyone cramping up?

Its 26oC

Giants will be sore this week

Can’t decide if Cadman is good or not.

They should have beaten the Swannettes in the GF last Season

44 points up against The Bears and they relaxed 1%
If we can beat them next week it will be huge

We need to emphasise Speed and ball movement, constantly create options

Dunno but I have every hair and skin cell of his thigh seared into my memory.

And it ain’t pretty

He is reading the play and getting to the right spots really well, but not executing simple kicking and marking. He looks ripe for mine, just rusty.

did people really think pies were top 4 this year??

They have the talent and skill. The ? Will be in their fitness and keeping the talent in the field.

Daicos clearly didn’t get the minutes in during pre season.  Will he be playing catch up all year?

Yeah, it's lovely in Sydney today. Gentle breeze, not hot, and the humidity is in the clouds, not sticking to everything at ground level.

Getting a little bit of Weideman vibes. Almost feels like Cadman's 2024 would be what we would have seen from Weideman if he'd had a full season in the firsts to learn the level. U suppose the key similarity is the lack of high impact moments to compensate for the long periods uninvolved.

He actually looks like he's been lightly seared on both sides to lock in the flavour. Big fake tan sponsorship about to drop at Collingwood.

Media really do gargle the Pies something fierce. Just vomit inducing.

Pies with 0.5 in that Quarter

😂😂

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
