I would be shocked if the delist list hasn’t already been completed.

Maybe they are uncertain about this fellow and have decided to have a look, not much else to lose, that’s for sure.

Jai biggest asset this week is he will become an emergency then will be dropped off the team list v west coast

Haven't you sad sacks got enough threads to stain with your pearls of wisdom?

Thought you'd have a go at this one too?

Best of luck to Jai this week. Always nice to see a lifelong Demon supporter pull on the red and blue!

Forgot about Jeffo is should have clarified my rant a bit better, players drafted onto our list as a 18 y.o.

The others are not straight from the draft they a mature aged recruits VFL/AFL players Hendo,AJ, Sharp and Fullerton.

How many after mid year when out of finals contention?

Answer = 1

To be honest there is only Adam’s, Verrall, Seston, Mentha and Kentfield that haven’t debute’d and as previously mentioned Seston was very close before injury. Adam’s probably next closest.

Culley is 23 at his second club with 20 games at the level, so still doesnt meet ya criteria

He's a Demon from birth its different 😂

All im saying is just give them a taste of it, if they are not up to it just yet that's ok. You don't know until you try.

Simon has dug a massive 🕳 for himself now, these players mention above should have been blooded by now.

Not all at once gradually 1-2 in selected games that would have appeased alot of supporters including myself once finals was no longer a reality.

This is not rocket science.

We've debuted Henderson, AJ, Jefferson, Langford, Lindsay and now Culley.

Fullarton also made his debut for the club, as has Sharp.

I think Sestan would have debuted if not for his injuries later in the season. He has traits that we are missing.

IMO Adams needs to debut before the end of the year, but we have 3 very difficult games to end off the year so it seems doubtful.

May will be back versus the Hawks, and who knows if Lever will play again this year (he shouldn't IMO).

Kentfield is coming from a long way back with his fitness. I reckon he needs a good pre-season under his belt, and he is odds on to debut early in 2026.

All debut in round 1 and its only taken round 21 to debut another first year player.

Woeful development.

To get back on topic congratulations Jai, living a brilliant boyhood dream. Would mean a lot to his family and beyond.

For gods sake I hope he doesn't start as a sub.

Who do you think has shown consistent performance at Casey to earn a debut until now?

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but I’m also not sure who has delivered consistently at Casey to the point where they were slamming the door down.

Laurie aside, but he’s not a debutant.

All the very best Jai. Enjoy the game.

Ha ha the supporters have dug the hole, Simon refuses to jump into it, he thinks that he is running the footy dept. 😁👍

Not me layzie, can you imagine the ruckus on here if we get beaten by the Weagles at Marvelous stadium. I’m wanting a 50+ point win tomorrow so I can enjoy the replay and I hope Jai Culley crashes in hard and takes a couple of scalps on his way.😁👍

Jai's debut is the only reason I'll watch this, only slightly outweighing my reason for not watching it being Petty still in the team.

Doesn't matter against this lot really they were already [censored] now they're worse so if we don't beat them this weekend I think that'll be curtains for the coach. I just hope Jai has a great game and enjoys himself.

Come on Deezone, the floodgates are well and truly open on the ruckus!

Maybe Layzie but not in my head, I’m looking for improvements, something to look forward to, I won’t sign off until the B& F and National Draft is completed. Then I will take a long break until the pre-season.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
