I don’t believe you, he’s contracted. It’s the King’s ransom or he stays

You’ll be pleased to know that training at Casey on Friday the 14th of February is an open session. Start time to be announced this Tuesday. All the usual activations (despite kids being back at school) but sadly no sausage sizzle. Since I get to watch training, I might pull up a deck-chair next to you PF!

Wow what an offer and a half Ghosty!😆 Unfortunately I will be on a road trip " Great Ocean Rd" from early Feb which counts me out, BUT Upon my return would love to catch up with you and talk all things Dees with your good self, now hereby proclaimed Queen Ghosty the First ( and the last) patron saintess to the purveyors of fine BBQ fare specializing in Gourmet Snags! 🌭😂😁😎

That's all well and good, but when you sign a contract extension 21 months ago until the end of 2027 the decision where you play is really out of your hands.

And he can't have been thinking about a move for very long considering he extended not all that long ago.

A lot can change in 2 years Gator.

I get the anxiety about losing Koz and I personally hate the idea he may leave. I’m hoping like hell he changes his mind, but this has been on the cards for a while now (being undecided). I’m hanging my hopes on Koz changing his mind once again.

As I said he loves the club and has informed the recruiting team/club in time to make the best out of this situation. All I will say is my source is third hand and by someone high up and respected by all on here.

The Social Media likes tell a story. This is not my source btw…

Geez you know you’re on the slide when you get a knock-back from PF.

Soz just thinking aloud.

Never underestimate the power of the brother boys. I knew nothing about this until Matty Whelan and Roy explained it to me. Our brother boys are extremely tight and although he’s only 23yo Kozzie plays an important role in the mentoring of Ricky Mentha. The group is growing and imo this bodes well in terms of Kozzie staying with us.

Adding Roy George to this could also be important if the opportunity arises

I hope you’re right GW. I wouldn’t be calling Koz a brother boy though. He may take that literally and take offence. 🥴🤩🥴

Do you want him to ask his ‘third hand source’? To ask the person who was told by the person who was told the person who was the ‘source’?

Well the book on the Krakouer brothers was called Brotherboys but these days in parts of Aboriginal society I understand that it can refer to trangender people

Brother Boy in Indigenous communities has another meaning DistrACTION.

It refers to First Nations people as being part of the of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Koz doesn’t identify as this.

Fair enough… I guess if they’ve called themselves that it wouldn’t be an issue

I was having a little fun with GW. Being jovial.

No issues at all

I take a more hardline approach.  He's going nowhere at the end of 2025 unless the club is satisfied in a trade, which is highly unlikely.

It could well be different at the end of 2026 with only 12 months to go on his contract.  The club may be more pragmatic then, but not at the end of this year.

Which is precisely the reason it’s premature to be saying he is going anywhere imho

Signed less than 2 years ago , loves the club , coach and team mates - I’d say we stay in the window and he will likely stick around but if he is home sick and wants Perth it cannot be just Flogmantle that is an option as that would be unfair from him

This is how they refer to themselves. I always ask if it’s appropriate for me to use certain terms and in this case it’s fine, according to the brother boys. 👍🏽

Clearly people are in need of some content. I wasnt there, but my best mate...lets call him MS CoPilot was and had this to say:

Melbourne Demons Training Report - 31st January 2025

Summary of Training Drills:

  1. Ball Movement: The team focused on ball movement today, with an emphasis on handballs over kicking. Despite the best efforts, the foot skills still looked a bit ordinary. It seems like the players have mastered the art of handballing to each other, but when it comes to kicking, it's a different story. Let's just say, if kicking was a subject, the Demons might need a few more tutoring sessions.

  2. Inside 50 Delivery: There was noticeable improvement in player movement inside the 50, but the skills and decision-making still left much to be desired. The players were moving better, but the delivery was still as scrappy as a toddler's first attempt at finger painting. The decision-making? Well, let's just say it was like watching someone try to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded.

  3. Fitness: On a brighter note, all players are breaking personal records in fitness. It seems like the team has been spending more time in the gym than on the field. If there was a competition for the most fit team, the Demons would be in the running for the gold medal. Now, if only they could translate that fitness into better ball skills...

Player Summaries:

  • Trac: Showed great enthusiasm in the handball drills, but when it came to kicking, it was like watching a duck try to play soccer. Needs to work on foot skills.
  • Oliver: Impressive fitness levels, breaking personal records left and right. However, decision-making inside the 50 still needs improvement. Maybe a few more strategy sessions are in order.
  • Sparrow: Demonstrated better movement inside the 50, but the delivery was still scrappy. It's like they have the right idea but need to refine the execution.
  • Langdon: Another fitness fanatic, breaking records and setting new benchmarks. If only their kicking was as good as their running, they'd be unstoppable.

Overall, the Melbourne Demons are showing promise, but there's still a lot of work to be done. With a bit more practice and a lot more kicking drills, they might just turn things around. Until then, we'll keep cheering them on and hoping for the best!

*Edit: At, the risk of being misconstrued, ill clarify that this post is totally fabricated. It is the result of of some lazy 'prompt engineering' using Microsoft's Generative AI tool, CoPilot.

[censored], I placed my biggest bet ever earlier today for us to make the eight, sit down with a voddy now and met with this. Nearly chocked on my slice of lime, don't do that to me.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
