Lucky for Essendon I'm hearing there are a lot of great options available at pick 18 of the 2025 draft

Choosing a reply from so many options;

"I guess it is nice for Essendon supporters to have a team to follow where the ladder position matters."

"That's fine, but still nobody cares where Essendon finishes."

Will there be a corresponding resurrection-riding thread on here? 😬

Given their collective energy has failed to get them a finals win for decades I’m not overly concerned by a bomber fan death ride

I wouldn’t be sure they will end up with the pick after draft night. I suspect they might use it to try to trade back into the first round after Kako is picked up.

We're making a massive assumption that they'll even be permitted to participate in the 2025 draft.

Uh why wouldn't they?

    The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
