Considering how bleak the trade period looks, Taylor is going to have to work miracles in the draft. Thanks Brisbane.

much happier going to the draft. we could get another mcadam with pick 37... stuff that. Logan Morris was pick 31.

use them all

Tim Lamb playing 4D chess. We really really rate the top 37 of this draft.

Tim Lamb will work his magic by turning pick 37 into pick 34, by giving up pick 25.

The Harry Petty pick. 👌

Agree. He’s not proactive enough to be a forward

Thanks to the Brisbane Lions, the 2024 AFL National Draft Pick #37 has just landed in our lap.

This could be big!

Took me a while to wake up (it's a Sydney related pick) for our mate Grundy

Who did Collingwood draft for our second rounder ( I assume it was around Pick 32)

Carlton got hold of the pick on draft night and selected Lachie Cowan with pick 30.

To add to the above, Collingwood traded it to Carlton for a future 2023 2nd round (pick 39).

The following season they packaged it up as part of the Ginnivan trade to Hawks.

Pies to Hawks: Ginnivan, pick 39*, 2024 2nd round (pick 33), 2024 4th round (pick 67).

Hawks to Pies: Pick 33 (Tew Jiath), 2024 2nd round (pick 30) , 2024 3rd round (pick 51)

*Pick 39 was again traded from Hawks to Brisbane as part of the Jack Gunston trade. After father son and academy picks it drifted to 42 (Luke Lloyd).

Sounds unloved..... hope someone found a home

I see Lachie Cowan played 17 games at Carlton this so perhaps some good came out of it.

Will get pushed out by Lombard, Kako, Brisbane’s kids, etc. but hopefully gets pulled back in further by the picks used to get them. And likely upgraded with one of those clubs anyway.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
