    Prasad is very similar to Kako/Watson. Very small but incredibly nimble and slick

    Going to be fun watching him develope for the next 12 months or so.

    A small forward or midfielder who plays with real zest, Prasad attacks the ball with ferocity and hunts the opposition with impressive tackling pressure wherever he plays. A team-oriented player, he averaged 16 disposals (10 contested), six tackles and

    1.7 goals for Vic Country during the under-16 national championships last year, helping his side win the title and earning All-Australian honours in the process. Prasad also featured in three matches for the Stingrays at under-18 level late last season, providing him with a solid foundation to build on going into his bottom-age year. He was a consistent performer across his first four games of 2025 in the Coates Talent League, during which he averaged 17 disposals and kicked three goals. That included finishing as the Stingrays' best player in a round 4 loss to Gold Coast.

    He’s just going to be a small forward at AFL. More like a Jack Higgins type, lively but a left footer. Likes a goal 👏👏👏

    Prasad is averaging 16.5 disposals, 3 marks, 4.5 tackles and has kicked 9 goals in 8 games. He has very good skills, applies pressure and has a strong football IQ.

Prasad finished the day with three straight majors, one from a smart run at a forward 50 stoppage, another from a contested mark deep insider 50, and the last by catching an opponent holding the ball near the square."

    Thanks, looking forward to Kosy playing mid/forward with Prasad.

    Talking about players coming through we have a heap playing under 15's ATM. I often look at this article from April'25.

    Melbourne Academy | Players to watch

    Oliver Green, Tex Robertson, Tigga Johnstone, Max McDonald - Father/Sons.

    Academy - Al - Ziggy Tiltsen-Collins, Mitch Liddle, Eric Junior Campbell.

    Have a read. If a few of that lot come up trumps we will go ok.

    Then there is Marley Davey and the White twins later.

      The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

      The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

      The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
