Good sportsmanship shown by some Lions players for hurt Cognelio. This part of the game has improved over the years.

I assume Zorko ran over to Coniglio to make fun of his mum.

Andrews something to answer for here?

Unlikely.

Coniglio run back with flight into marking contest, Andrews closed eyes to spoil, hit Coniglio's high shoulder area, elbow slipped up into his head area, then Coniglio's head hit again by marking GWS player.

No sportsman ship from Pies supporters when Angus hit by Brayshaw.

They chanted “ Collingwood, Collingwood…..”

Lohmann's hair at the moment reminds me of Warwick Capper.

When they decide to wear clash jumpers does anyone actually look at the designs? Cause yellow Vs orange isn’t great

I think the AFL are quite bad at making teams alternative jumpers contrast but I actually don’t think there is an issue tonight.

Hoges

Zorko having an absolute stinker. Given up 2 goals to his opponent and then gave an unnecessary free kick reversal that resulted in that goal.

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

brent daniel on the 45?

he reminds me so much of luke breust

Yep, players like that win you matches

Couldn’t happen to a bigger piece of 💩… unless it happened to Maynard

Would donate my left foot for someone with his kicking skills in red and blue

Weird to see so many of us cheering for GWS

All it will take is a loss to them in finals or a scuffle or two and we’ll hate them too. Or many a little less as we don’t know any Giants fans

I get Jesse and Toby are there

Spargs might not quite as good but he is deadly kicking inside 50

Hogan on fire. Missed some bad ones but he's the difference.

Oh Jesse how I miss you.

I don't think the crowds to bad. What I expect really. Better than there home and away attendances.

At what point will the AFL start to crack down on these over the shoulder throw-balls, and why will it only apply to our No.13?

Hogan's a mile ahead of anyone for contested marking craft.

Taken the mantle over from Hawkins.

Very good on the lead up timing as well.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
