Unfortunate for Tayla and if the team did  make it through to a top 4 finish you’d love to have her out there. But in what is shaping as a bit of a rebuild year it might not be so bad to get games in to some of the young talls or even go a little smaller and more mobile.

The output often hasn’t matched the reputation with Tay tay

She's been excellent.

huge loss for the season. i hope she can fully recover.

And i wouldn't mind if she gave the boxing away and focussed exclusively on footy. return to boxing post footy

No surprise. Didn't do a preseason. And chose a Nike sponsored trip to the Paris Olympics over her teammates.

If she wants to be a professional footballer, she should start acting like one

I didn't know this. Not a good look but according to the article was signed off by the club.

The list seems a little top heavy to Meggs.  Especially now we've lost speedster Aimee Mackin and gun mid Liv Purcell.

There are 4 designated rucks on our list (Pearce, Campbell, Watt and Hose).  Mick also regularly throws Harris and Zanker into the ruck at times plus we have Georgia Gall, training as a lead up marking forward.

Replacement players should be quick, mobile, contested ballwinners, not more one-paced talls.

Predicting that Mick brings in Georgia (Gall or Campbell) for Tayla.  But would prefer to see Pisano or Johnson.

Yeah I don't think 2 rucks are in our best 21, but they played both of them to ease the workload on Pearce through the early rounds of the season given how vital she is.

Ideally Tayla would be the second ruck which always got her involved in games and opened the forward line up.

I'd probably play Campbell if she's fit because she's a pretty special talent if they can get her to the level. But full well knowing that one of Campbell or Watt has to come out by the end of the year.

I'd like another crumber but that relies on them being any good. The best line is up probably Purcell in asap allowing Hore to play forward more as well as Hanks and Goldy rotating forward more too.

I'm also yet to get a full grasp on just what kind of player Wotherspoon is. Didn't do much against the Cats but there's a good footballer in there. Seems to have size to compete in the air but also ability on the ground and a good tackler.

Feel really sorry for Tayla and MFC right now, we can’t get a decent break with injured stars.

Let’s make sure we keep in touch with her throughout the surgery.

Is the Big Brother set on the Gold Coast currently being used? We should invest in that as a place our players can go to recuperate when injured.

Agree...she looked good in patches last year.

...be good to see her get a clear run at it.

If you can tolerate the Andrews, Harris was on SEN this afternoon with Maher & Gaze. Topics covered include the shoulder injury, the Olympics trip, immediate future & an ambassadorial role she'd doing. She's a ripper.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
