A player who might be worth a go at is Ryley Sanders , dropped for dogs last game when imo was just starting to come good . I never really rated him but I did watch a couple of dogs game's and liked what i saw from him , apparently he is not happy with bevo .

He is a Tasmanian who will be high on the devils hitlist , which could possibly land good draft picks in a trade with the devils or via draft compensation .

not many finals wins merrett has played in, and definitely no premiership or norm smith medals in his locker

merrett is a better kick but not a better player

You’re living in the past, Petracca’s not that player anymore

Nope

Merritt is a good player, I’m knocking him, but in my opinion Trac was and still is a better player

And I’m not against trading Trac either for the right deal

Just my opinion

Trac has far more weapons than Merrett, who are you kidding. Trac over Merrett is not even an argument worth having, it’s clear cut

💯. All this activity at Carlton was MFC last year. Players wanting to leave, delistings and drama was Goody trying to salvage what he could last year. Carlton will finish bottom 4 next year. Take that to the bank. I’d also think Voss will struggle to make it to bye week.

We have just seen this story to many times for it to finish any other way.

God that would make me happy. Can’t stand them and their whingy supporters.

Every time they lose, I’m like the grinch on Christmas Day, stealing all the who’s toys and food.

If we want to get to finals, I’m taking Merret every day of the week.

If we need to win a final, it’s probably Trac.

Unfortunately, we need to get back to finals before we start winning them. By that stage, Langford is likely winning us more games than Trac and Merret combined.

Merrett would be a perfect addition for our midfield. Never going to happen though.

Oliver, Kozzy, Windsor and Merrett with Lindsay and Langford on the wings would be drool-worthy.

If the Hawks and Petracca want each other, would we consider a Lewis and McKenzie package with a couple of picks getting thrown around?

I don’t really know what else they could realistically offer us. Lewis isn’t a walk up start for them anymore yet he probably would be for us, McKenzie seems to have a fair bit of potential. I’m curious as to what Petraccas perceived value is in the industry now after a somewhat down year

Lewis can barely get through a five game stretch without breaking down with injury and McKenzie can’t make it out of the vfl

Mckenzie is average, nil interest there

At least Flanders can find the pill

Dersken expected to came as a delisted free agent and Heath from StK also expected to be coming our way too

They also stated McVee was likely to delay any decisions to sign or trade until the new coach. Adelaide's offer knocked back as well.

If we could pry out Flanders and Mihocek in addition to those two it would be a handy off season

When did Adelaide make an offer for McVee?

And if the good mail on here is to be believed (and I believe it), why did they bother?

Gettable reported they tabled an offer a couple weeks ago.

Twomey thinks Trac should leave now while Riley thinks Claz should stay

There is something about this whole thing that just doesn’t add up. Ghostly has solid track record and I tend to believe what she has put up on McVee.

However the delay in announcement is totally bizarre and should not have anything to do with coach announcement from a marketing perspective as we already announced some resigning earlier.

So he either hasn’t signed, outright lied to Ghosty and all of us (by extension) and is waiting for coach to be announced before making his decision

OR

He has signed and there is a the ‘Bermuda triangle’ situation with his paper work and announcement script.

Ok what about Cripps or Walsh or Merret? They are in a similar position to Trac are they not? Both on big money, could pursue success elsewhere etc.

I don’t get why there is this particular fixation on Trac but not others.

Now I’d like to get rid of him as well - he is on top dollar and can’t kick to save his life. If we can get Hawks (Blues) first round this year, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Some good tall defenders in the top 10.

They're good reporters, don't care much for their list management opinions.

"Gettable" also naming us as a club interested in Flanders as well.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
