Give Oliver a rest clanger and turn over king. Whats wrong with him??

Please let’s see Sestan, Tholstrup and Fullarton.

Surely Petty has to be omitted on form.

Turner, Billings, Laurie don’t look up to it.

Chandler, Sparrow, Oliver and Fritsch have unsatisfactory and should be dropped even just to make a statement but the cupboards bare so they’ll stay in.

Petty won't get dropped. Not that he shouldn't be imo. But he's got a fixed gig it seems.

Out.

Those responsible for the lack of depth in our list. Someone was asleep at the wheel.

I dread the inevitable dropping of Howes, Laurie and Turner for Woey, McAdam & B.Brown whilst the likes of Petty, Sparrow, Bowey etc get away with the bare minimum as always.

These are the kinds of dynamic selection decisions S Goodwin is renowned for. Genius.

You do realise Rivers was one of the only blokes who gave his all yesterday? Your teams are a shambles

The positive is that we will hopefully see Fullerton, Kolt and AMW in

Get some kids in there, worked well for Collingwood today.

The only difference between us and the Pies is that their kids have skills and can run quick. Ours are plodders with limited skills. Agree though Layzie we need to play the kids like AMW and Kolt to give them experience for next season. Lack of decent depth means that some who should be dropped will stay in.

Rebuild starts in round 15.

Not so much a rebuild as management of players to improve the team in 2025.

I'd be playing Billings and McAdam for example to see if they give anything. Woewodin the same plus Laurie. Rivers a full time mid. Viney can have every third week off as can Gawn. This allows game time for the likes of Tholstrup Fullarton and Verral.

2024 isn't our year. Meandering along on the present course is simply draining our limited resources

It won't be done of course but in some form it has merit

Hopefully we see Sparrow get more time in the middle if Trac misses. It's make or break for him now so if the opportunity is there, he has to take it. I'd like to see Rivers and McVee roll through the middle too. Keen to see what McVee offers there, I think he has a lot of promise as a midfielder.

If your omitting Rivers than you need to omit Petty.

AMW as the SUB

Salem into the middle

Fullerton takes Pety spot

I think this is the team I'd like to see:

FB: Tomlinson, May, McVee

HB: Salem, McDonald, Rivers

C: Langdon, Viney, Windsor

HF: Neal-Bullen, Fullarton/Jefferson, Tholstrup

FF: Pickett, Van Rooyen, Fritsch

FL: Gawn, Oliver, Sparrow

IC: Chandler, Moniz-Wakefield, Woewodin, Howes

SUB: Sestan

Midfield rotations to include Pickett, Salem, Rivers, McVee, ANB, maybe Tholstrup.

Pretty inexperienced but these are all guys I believe are important going forward, so they do need more exposure at the top level. Also could have missed some important players here.

Overall not actually confident this team would beat North.

IF that was even being contemplated (which I very much doubt) having Tracc out for an extended period (maybe even the season) this will not happen now.

Surely we have seen what Billings and Laurie have to offer which is not much.  McAdam I will give the benefit of the doubt due to injury recovery.

No way we drop Oliver. He simply has to play himself back into form. Imagine a midfield without both Trac and Oliver... we wouldn't stand a chance, even against North.

Can understand your thoughts but if we are going anywhere in 2025 one of these three needs to make a meaningful contribution.

I'd also give Jefferson a game or two and return Petty down back while managing May.

2024 is a write off IMO

FWIW I think we are on the right track gameplan wise but it needs work/tweaking.

Chandler's position is a worry. It seems that we can't lock down anyone in that role. Cannot see a role for Spargo going forward unfortunately.

I would like to see Woewodin be given a crack and at least a few full games too. Billings and Laurie not showing much, let the kid have a go! (Feel like a broken record when it comes to Woewodin).

Now with Trac out, give the Kolt a go, he has the X factor, let him run in the guts.

I hope this is in jest. Sparrow has barely fired a shot in the last two and a half seasons.  Problem is Goodwin has publicly lauded him. Tom should be the first to go.

I believe he's not had enough time in his natural position on the inside, so my point here is that this could be his chance to actually step up. I agree that he's underperformed enormously but what other young inside midfielders do we actually have?

Tholstrup, and play him for the rest of the year. Time to make selections for the future rather than the present. Unfortunately.

Not sure that any other changes are more than rearranging the deck chairs.

But the deck chairs have woodworm!

My rudimentary recollection of the biblical context is that this would involve there being lots of Demons.
