Some big games there

If the Dogs beat the Pies and we do the same the following week that's definitely the end of the Pies' top 4 chances.

Of course if Collingwood wins those two and we lose the next two that dire fate may apply to us.

Gold Coast beating the Bombers would finish off the weekend nicely.

Not sure who I want to see win between Port and Carlton. On the basis that we need to replace a top 4 side you could go for Port but hell a Carlton win... Another draw perhaps

Gold Coast were ordinary against Carlton last time out but they’re a different proposition at home. I reckon they’ll get the job done against the bombers. I certainly hope they do.

i find it bizarre that footscray are playing an 'away' game at docklands against the filth

I mean the pies play all their away games against Geelong at the mcg so now they know how it feels I guess

Pendlebury is out for the Pies...

Collingwood star Scott Pendlebury has been ruled out of the blockbuster against the Western Bulldogs as the reigning premiers count the cost of their mounting injury toll.

Pendlebury failed to complete training at Olympic Park on Wednesday, leaving the track early.

The 36-year-old has been battling an arm injury since last week’s draw with Fremantle.

He copped a suspended ban for the incident early in the year so you would think they activate that now.

Seventh vs eleventh is a blockbuster?  Yeah, nah.

My tips

Power - although i did not see the changes, at home they are still formidable and overall probably are in better form but Blues will know they are very capable of winning this game.

Doggies - they looked great vs Sydney for most of the match, Pies injuries mounting.

Hawks - form building, at the G i think they take the chocolates.

Weagles - at home are a problem

Puddy tats - ez

Dees - in a slog, but we have the weapons

Suns - At home are dangerous

lol indeed!  ‘Darwin factor’ - are they referring to the Darwinian concept of ‘survival of the fittest’?  Most adaptable wins??

SEN have their finger on the pulse.

As long as that pulse is taken on a thumping haemorrhoid….

As a social experiment, I decided today to wear an "I Love Collingwood" t-shirt for a week.

So far I've been spat on, verbally abused, punched and had a bottle thrown at me.

I'm curious as to what might happen when I leave the house.

Sunday forecast:

Sunny  light winds and 18 degrees. (10 hours of sunshine predicted)

With only 3 games to go, all against Top 8 fancies, the Demons face a daunting task as they return to the MCG when they play the Western Bulldogs. Who comes in and who goes out?

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
