Dusty is great. He’s a really nice guy by all reports. That’s why I was shocked when I thought he told Fritta to F off. So out of character, considering he was chatting to May in the last quarter about playing golf 😂

Last year in our Tigers game , Dusty kicked the first goal in the 3rd quarter. As they we’re waiting for play to restart the camera went back on Dusty and our man McVee , who was on Him.Dusty’s arm was outstretched pointing, and speaking.l thought that he was telling McVee why he outplayed him and , how he could improve his game in the future. Nice touch.

@WalkingCivilWar did you ask Fritta what Dusty said to him post game? Looks like he told him to f off which I can only assume is due to jealousy over his glorious hair 🤷‍♀️

I found out what Dusty said and it wasn’t nasty at all. It was about Disco. It was, “[censored] me dead, how old is that dude who kicked three goals? He looks like a baby to me!” 😅😅😅

Welcome to oldness Dusty! 😂

Fritta did have a very nasty interaction on Wednesday night but not with a player, with a spectator. After the match at the boundary fence Fritta handed a footy to a toddler on his dad’s shoulders. A Richmond supporter, not a kid mind you, but a grown-arze man who was standing behind the dad, punched the ball out of the toddler’s hands and gave Fritta a mouthful along the lines of you’re soft af and how about a hard ball get now and again etc. All this in front of the many little kids who were down the front to high-5 players. What a fine specimen of humankind right there 😡

The AFL should be told about this man, see if there is any vision, he needs a life time ban

That kind of story just astounds and disappoints me. It was a night of unification, with remembrance of those who had given their lives and sacrificed much. How can others be so ignorant of the occasion, creating division and role modelling toxic masculinity. What an unhappy person.

This makes my blood boil and heart break at the same time. What a way to ruin a fantastic moment for the young kid and family. Antisocial morons like that are long past their expiry date.

P.S. can that [censored] remind us when he last kicked 6 goals in a Premiership win...?

Disgusting but hardly surprising it came from a Tigers supporter - more morons per capita than any other team.

It happened very quickly and the POS left immediately. Players can’t react or say anything in this type of situation. It was water off a duck’s back to Fritta anyways, what bothered him is that he doesn’t know if the kid ended up getting the ball after all that. I like to think he did.

Well if the parent of the kid happens to read Demonland I hope they contact the DA or the club and tell them what happened. I’m sure both would be happy to organize another signed ball for the kid.

For sure. I was busy packing up our gear so didn’t see it happen. I only know it happened coz Fritta told his mum in disgust and she told me. But I’m sure someone (from the DA who may’ve seen it) would’ve made sure he got a ball, even if it wasn’t the same one. Pretty sad that we may have to have a couple of our members concentrating just on this activity after the match in case something similar happens again. It shouldn’t be needed.

Kinda glad Fritta's old man didn't hear it! One of the toughest bar stewards I've ever come across!

Eddie's training adventures continue.

In the club rooms last week.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C50LlZkxNfC/?igsh=bWxkZ3h5Mm1jMGox

My favourite moments:

  • How Melksham teaches Eddie to 'look me in the eye' when shaking hands.🤩
  • Jvr introduces himself as 'Jacob'.  Eddie hesitates for a confused moment and says:  'Hi Roo'. 🥰 Ah, the joy of childhood.
  • a big hug for Petracca  😍 And how Petracca invites him in to 'meet the boys' - I suspect a friendship forged on AFL 360.

Very impressed he knows all the players by sight and remembers their names.

Bowsa more than an outside chance! He told me himself that he’s definitely coming back vs Carlton. And it’s not as if I asked him. I just told him I hope to see him back out there soon. He said, “You will. Next week.” I said, “Our Carlton match?” He said “Yep!” 😁

Jake Bowey's inclusion this week would enable some roll on structural improvements which would impact Geelong's planning.

I love your enthusiasm WCW but now you've tripled down on this info in a public forum when he asked you not to say anything. I suggest you just cherish your opportunity to have some inside information and don't overshare.

What stand was this in?

Should be handing out 12 month bans for this straight away.

Thanks for the advice old55, but if Bowsa really wanted it kept on the down-low he wouldn’t have said it while there was others within earshot. The ‘don’t tell anyone’ was sort of humorous.

Besides, overshare is my middle name. Well, it’s not, but it really should be. 😁

It was in the aisle between our bay (the away team’s cheer squad bay, M33) and the adjoining bay. After an away-game win the players come to greet the cheer squad, therefore kids start flooding the aisles in the last five minutes of the final quarter. They also squeeze into our first couple of rows. It’s chaotic in the very least especially since we’re on a time limit to pack up and vacate our bay and it’s difficult amongst the bedlam, while at the same time watching out for d!kkheads, which is how this sort of thing happened.

I watched AFL360 a few weeks ago when Petracca was on and they invited young Eddie in with him.  It turns out Eddie had been at training the previous day.

I've just done a DL search of threads in which he is discussed and the ones below came up with clips of Eddie at training and/or on AFL 360.  The second thread was a 'Family Day' training session.

Takes a pretty bitter and asinine jerk to head into the MFC cheer squad area and pull something like that after a game?

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
