The one commentator who loves the Dees is Montagna.

Probably sees the defensive game plan similar to St.Kildas when he was playing under Ross Lyon.

Oliver: not sure which one:-

• hand troubling him

Go watch the third quarter again. Instrumental.

This guy had barely no pre season, a mountain of personal issues to deal with, and is playing with a busted hand. The glaring lack of understanding and empathy is totally unnecessary.

This guy has carried our side more than once and you can’t find me one player at Casey who could come in and be half as good as he is, even at his current lower output.

10 pressure acts, equal second highest clearance, highest goal assists. And he did not pull up short, he avoided a suspension. To suggest Clarry is nothing but incredibly brave and tough is plain wrong. Try playing with a dislocated finger.

He had a great last quarter

He was good in the first quarter as well. He busted his guts last night. My only criticism is he sometimes reverts to long bombs. We've been treated to how well he passes and, then again, many of his possessions are in the middle of scrimmages and guess who is always in the middle of them? I love the guy.

I think he long bombs so often because he is using so much strength to break free.
He was well tagged early, but was still a huge contributor

Agree - he's been on us right from the start of the season.  Was calling out that he thought the of feild turmoil could have the effect of galvanizing the team when everyone else was writing us off and adding to the pile on.  It's been quite refreshing really.

Also makes me laugh how some of the networks have reported that we've had a purple patch of form to start the season 3W - 1L (now 4W - 1L).  Wouldn't so much call that a purple patch when we've done it practically the last 3 seasons in a row prior, I'd just say that we've been performing up to existing standards and expectations for the team.

Billings will not want to watch that game again.  Snatching at chances is one thing, but that attempt at a tackle on Rankin was not our brand.

Not Billings his best effort but the bloke hasn't played in 2 years, is learning a new system and was coming off a 5 day break. I think he's coming along ok.

He will know there are competitors for his spot. Taj has had two small bites, probably not enought to stake a major claim though (tool us way to long to get Brown off and him on in the last qtr though).

Hunter will need to prove himself at Casey.

And eventually it will be impossble to ignore the Kolt.

Commentators are like the weather changes every minute each one has a different perspective on the game and quite frankly who cares, if people get upset over their calling I suggest they take a Bex and a good lie down because next week they say the opposite the following week.

    CONSISTENCY by The Oracle

"I think we have got a team that can win a premiership, and if we get in this year, I don't think there is a team that is going to want to play us. This year is not a write-off, I don't concede that. Not at all." — Collingwood President Jeff Browne. I love this sort of optimism from the Magpie President after his club’s eleven goal defeat at the hands of the fast rising Hawks. It’s consistent with the fighting spirit of the club that won last year’s flag.  I only wish I could say the s

    FEARS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne’s worst fears about the absence of Max Gawn were realised when it received a shellacking from Fremantle’s ruckmen Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson who dominated the hit out tally in their game at Optus Stadium on Sunday by a massive 47 to 19. As a result, the 50-point deficit at the end of the game proved to be a loss that was long foreseen that was two years in the making and demonstrated a complete lack of hindsight and planning from the club. To add insult to injury, Jackson was a D

    RAIN CHECK by Whispering Jack

The Frankston Dolphins broke a run of six straight losses against their neighbours, the Casey Demons and kept their hopes for a long-awaited return to the VFL finals alive with a 27 point victory over at Kinetic Stadium. Casey was welcomed to the Peninsula by grey skies, heavy rain and angry seas with threatening white-capped waves whipped up by gale force winds. After a slow start in the opening term when they failed to take advantage of the breeze, it appeared that the Demons had decided
