Interesting how Quaynor just escorted that bouncing ball over the boundary with a minute to go! What is the rule on insufficient attempt?

Pies have a bye then Port and Essendon on ANZAC day.
Hope they get smashed by both.

Gee I didn't see a minute of the game because of work but it seems the hawks gave away a to big a lead at half time.

It also seems they dominated the final quarter but found it hard to get that extra goal.

It's a shame they couldn't get that final goal & steal it by a point

That last few minutes was perfectly set up for an outbreak of Frostball. Was hoping to see him go full Crazy Horse off half back and jag a winning goal from 60.

Just left the game, as bad as Hawks were to half time once they worked Collingwood out Magpies had no idea, very lucky to hold on.

Collingwood are putrid.

For three years they have gotten away with their dead ball gameplan whenever they're threatened. It is putrid football and Carlton does the same thing. It doesn't work without good ball users which they have. But if you stop their outside runners and in particular Daicos as Hawks did to some degree tonight, you can beat them. Hawks should have won that and would be hitting themselves over throwing that away. I reckon Pies are in for a rude awakening when they play GWS, Melbourne, and even GC.

We all want Collingwood to lose  but if they don't you're financially rewarded. I have a number of friends who have won/lost lots of money betting against their own teams.

Dennis….Rod…???

The AFL should all be sacked over this. But of course they will all survive.
They had 6 months to fully sort this out after the Adelaide debacle, and have done Sweet F$&@ all.
The Arc is pathetic. They spend time reviewing shots that are clearly fine, but refuse to make serious calls because the Cameras are total garbage

we the Fans and the Clubs must demand that the AFL fit 4k Cameras at every AFL VENUE

Paid for by the AFL, not the Broadcaster

Maybe the suits will have to take a Pay Cut

I take it that you are a little disappointed with the AFL.

Bobo, presumably you are a fan of Radiohead. I assume you have a critical lens when you look at the world. I think you know the answer to your question 😊

On a side note - this morning, I was reading about the death of 'music videos' and the art the goes into making them. I'd suggest that the music videos for the OK Computer singles were some of the best of all time as a combination.

Huge fan… YES! The film clip to ‘Just’ is my favourite of all time. No surprises is also up there.

That’s interesting, now that I think of it, I can’t remember the last time I really watched any music videos 🧐🧐🧐

Have you seen the behind the goals vision BoBo?
Clark must’ve given the ump an almighty spray after Cottrell kicked the goal because you can see his teammate in Walker waving his arms telling him to stop.

I saw it last night yeah, I guess my inclination is, if umps had been paying the dissent rule more often, players wouldn’t feel like they could keep going? It’s another rule that is a victim of being applied seemingly at random thus players are now doing it more often. If it’s a rule then apply it every time it happens or get rid of it is my thinking.

Yes he did. According to other media reports, it was quite vicious.

Wouldn't exactly be something they haven't heard before, if they listened to it at the games i have attended.

Pavlov's dogs only needed occasional reinforcement to stop. 😄

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
