Think of it as an emotional hedge.
We all want Collingwood to lose  but if they don't you're financially rewarded. I have a number of friends who have won/lost lots of money betting against their own teams.

I've made significant dollars the last few finals series unfortunately

I'm so glad we don't disrespect our GF players like that (eg jackson) - and not really surprised that Collingwood supporters do.

They are definitely a league of their own in that regard. Funnily enough, I’m sitting next to a bloke from Echuca who is a Dees supporter. You would swear to God he is a Hawks supporter. Definitely a good bloke. We have just been sharing our photos of our dogs in their Demon jumpers.

I watched about 5 minutes of the Filth game. Can’t do it. My anger and disgust at them is too high.
it’s embedded into my entire body

I just want to see them get hurt

Two absolutely horrendous umpire decisions that take a neutral ball in Hawks F50 to Collingwood 50 for a goal.

Time for another Jamieson to soothe the beast SWYL !

Although unlikely, nothing would top off the weekend better than a come-from-behind victory by the Hawks in ther last quarter.

Hawks will get our hopes up and might even get within a couple of goals in the final quarter, but Collingwood will win coz Collingwood.

showing some ticker here Hawks but there forward of center work not too flash. bombing the ball in being defended easily enough by the pies

Hawthorn look cooked. They've had plenty of the ball but are way to tired to do anything with it.

I hate both however anything but the filth.  Common Dawks do something!  And if you can't win at least take out Mayturd

I want to watch Pies lose, but I can’t bring myself to watch the game because they’ll probably win.
There is a total Magpie ban in this household. Even the dog hates the bastards.

We would beat this Pies team. No doubt at all. They look old and slow.

Hawks within a goal with 4 mins left. Please let it happen.

Hope the umps think the same!

Hawks are so impressive. They’re desperate and determined and so full of belief. Please footy gods, let this happen.

Mabior Chol has had like 10 opportunities to go the knee in the marking contest like he's done the past couple of weeks and is being a good citizen all of a sudden.

[censored] it all. [censored] I hate that filthy pack of [censored] thugs.

Another classic tight victory by the magpies…

they look ordinary. Scraping past a poor hawthorn side isn’t going to fill anyone with confidence.
