Ferguson is a better footballer than Holland and Warnock. He has suffered through injury at important times in his career. He is perceived as being too slow for AFL football. He has also been extremely effective on occasions, is as courageous as they come, knows how to spoil from sometimes impossible positions and gives his all. I'm happy to see him given a go in place of the only bloke who should keep him out of this team.

Warnock is rubbish, won't make the grade.

Good to see wrecker is back though, his importance in the team is so underrated by others its not funny. And my man Pedro is back, now to decide whether to start him or J Selwood in my dreamteam! :P

dam no mclean ... and your correct jaded Warnock is a bit stiff although ferg always gives his best...

i ams till not sure about Warnock but at least we could end up with a better player than ferg

we wont know until he has a few games in a row ...

good to see petard and wrecker there... infact extremely good about pettard im hoping a big game for him lets see how he goes against a top 4 side...

*Sigh*

Another week without McLean :(

After this week week we have:

v Kangaroos MCG

v Adelaide MCG

v Collingwood MCG

v Richmond MCG

v Essendon TD

v Carlton MCG

I don't mind us giving our youngsters a go at Subi vs the best team in the comp to make sure that our future captain is right for these games.

great to see my man wheels back. he is ridiculously underrated it's true! worrying to see him named on the bench, while since i've seen that!

interesting though! fluke a win and we could end up 7-7, 5-9. both with finals potential. now i know it's a lot of optimism but crows at the g, and pies at the g, are both winnable games with out full team out there with confidence. this season isn't over!

Hmm, maybe you're thinking of Wheatley? I don't think anyone on here underrates Whelan.

we could be 6 and 8 after that...pity we didnt get up against one of the dogs or port, or both. we could have been 8 and 6 ;) i didnt think we were out of it at 0-5, but we are a long way off yet.

WC will be tough this week, and i cant see us winning it...but as long as we give it a red hot crack...

I dont mean to jinx it, but Yze_Magic hasnt posted his why we will win by 5 goals thread...

Maybe we are in with a chance. :D

he posted it early on this week...monday i think...and it said 'we'd be close at 3 quarter time, and then get smashed in the last...

with warnock, holland and ferguson all proven that they won't be the answer to our k.p.p problems for a future premiership side, it just makes frawleys development so much more important. we need another tall backman behind rivers and carrol, i hope he is the answer.

mclean and robbo back next week means it will probably be our best 22

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
