I notice that Luker Kentfield is NOT on this list but was rumored to be carrying an injury.
Any inside info anyone? Has he trained?

He trained today. No injury.

WCW said that he was at training on Tuesday and that he appeared to be moving ok.😁

Sorry WCW should have gone to the last page.😁

All good DZ 😊 I don’t know where the idea that he might be carrying an injury came from. He trained really well and said himself that he’s feeling great and is keen to “get into it.”

As Binman might say…

Got 99 problems but Luker ain’t one

Trac four broken ribs, lacerated spleen and punctured lung. Good god. Shocked they allowed him back out there in the second quarter.

It basically took him the entire quarter break to get off the field.

Was stopping every few steps and looked like he was in pure agony.

Was shocked when he came back out.

Disgraceful mismanagement

Should have gone straight to hospital. Poor thing I cannot believe he was allowed back on the field.

OMFG are you serious, poor Trac, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Going to be very interesting to see whose call it was. Surely Trac would have had input in the decision.

Felt like a classic Goodwin all or nothing call to put him back on.

Wonder how his family are feeling about it too.

We seem to be determined to play injured plays after getting away with it in the Granny.

Such a different context.

Yep disgraceful really.

You'd have the think ultimately it was trac's call - which in itself is alarming. Any professional doctor would have been able to identify there was some serious damage here and should have been solely responsible for deciding how to proceed.

This football club really disgusts me. It was clear as day he had an internal injury and I said it at the time, as did many of us. We need new leadership on all lines.

Trac should have had NO say in it. He looked like he was shot he was in that much pain. Who cares that his adrenaline said "I wanna play I'll be fine"?

How many players get knocked out and want to return to play? Most.

The decision should be totally out of their hands. This is why we have team doctors.

Imagine if he copped another hit!

Theoretically anyway. Team sycophants, more like. I really thought we were better than the Port and Dogs doctors who sent clearly concussed players back on. Turns out we aren't.

Where did you get this information from?

Jesus...poor buggar. Is that season ending for Trac? Given how this frikn season is shaping up Im imagining it is. I honestly feel like we've been cursed since late last year.

Yeah I think it’ll be close. I’m guessing 6-8 week minimum.

I reckon we just tank from here and get a top 5 pick. I mean even with if we somehow make finals, we are not doing any damage this year. Reset the game plan and blood the youth. Everyone would understand.

The man himself just posted a photo on his socials in a hospital bed.

I'm so disappointed in our medical management this year. If it wasn't sending May back in against Adelaide after a week off with cracked ribs and clearly in pain, Lever's tweaked knee in Rd 2 and whether he should have played through it or not, Oliver being sent out with half a hand against Brisbane. Sending Trac back out there yesterday was the last straw.

It's just lambs to the slaughter and I have no idea what the rationale is behind it.

Failures of process across the board I’d suggest.

Thank goodness he didn’t get another hit.

Agreed. I’m not saying he should have had input, I’m thinking that he must’ve pushed to return otherwise no right thinking medico should’ve ok’d it.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
