She is a defender. 183cm. It’ll be interesting to see who she’s replacing. Excited for her!

Described in the MFC article as a key forward 🤷‍♀️ Let's go with versatile! Hopefully the scan comes up clear for Maddi.

More Heath appreciation, this time from teammates:

Love what her teammates say about her.

Unfortunately it’s looking as though predicted strong winds means we won’t be able to raise her milestone banner tomorrow. (Yet another Casey negative.) It’s especially disappointing because the players helped us make this banner so it’s pretty special. The Guard of Honour will just have to be twice as long as usual, which may mean it starts from the carpark, such is the length of our usual GoH 🤣

reckon it might be a touch windy at Casey today!

Y’ think???? 😜

It’s a good thing there’s so many windbreaks at Casey! 🙄

Hullo from Bribie Is (where they're also having such a touch!)

An extra dose of concentration required from the girls, then. With only half a game to score in, and the other half presenting a heightened defence challenge, this is the sort of game that can slip through the collective fingers.

Go (carefully) Dees!

game plan -

give to Bannan and she runs it into the square

an incorrect disposal free straight away. Fair enough but I hope the umps are consistent for the rest of the day

If there was ever a good shot for goal that ended up a point that one from Galway Gall was one. Most AFLW players wouldn’t get near the distance kicking in to the breeze from there. She looks a talent

it really is appalling

we're hitting the scoreboard and making it count now

Trademark inexcusable mistake from Birch and then Wilson beat dead in the foot race.

didn't get near full value for our dominance in that quarter. left 3-4 goals out there.

Freo are game but if we hold them in the 3rd we're home.

Death, Taxes and DeeSpencer having a crack at Birch.

Or paxy. He thought she should have retired about 5 years ago.

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

that holding the ball call can get in the bin

You know its bad when the commentary expresses their surprise

how are we not 50 pts+ up?

lazy kicking.  especially that Zanker one from 10m, can’t blame the wind for that

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
