I think if there is one team that can beat Brisbane up there it's Port.Β

I'd like to see a Brisbane win (and us obviously). That'd force the pies to have to go via a prelim vs Brisbane at the Gabba to make the GF.

Outside that, my other preference is a 1 point Carlton loss by a kick after the siren that is touched on the goal line but incorrectly referred to video with the umpire's call as goal, where the video evidence is inconclusive because Charlie Curnow had run back into defence and did his lamo bicep curl fist pump blocking the camera's view.

I hope Port and the Lions knock lumps out of each other. injuries left right and center.

Do not want to see Carlton win. An agonising loss would be best.

Would like to see the Saints get the win but i think GWS will be too strong for them.

It's a good place to be.

And when all is said and done no-one cares who was 1st in the finals experience ladder.Β

GWS should easily beat the Saints.

The others are genuine 50/50 games with Lions shading Port simply because of home ground advantage. The same for Carlton over Sydney

I think Having actually done it recently is a great advantage. Port, Collingwood & Brisbane haven't made a GF recently. If we hopefully make it I think it would be a big advantage on the day.

Many Coll players were there for the 2018 GF.Β

They will be fired up if they make the GF...make amends for that loss from that freak goal...

...the 'colliwobbles' got them again!! πŸ˜‰

It’s great that Collingwood and Melbourne are training next door to each otherΒ

We have a brilliant record against The Filth in Finals going RIGHT BACK in time

Let’s Go…..

Weitering could have decapitated a player and would still get off. Doubt he will get anything more than a fine for this one even with the Carlton Lawyer on call.

If he somehow cops one week at the MRO he will definitely get off at the tribunal even if they send in the work experience kid.

Must be about time for the MRO to announce its decision on this

No case to answer. Well a fine yet Bedford get a week for less than Tom McCartin last week.

Do Carlton ever get on the wrong side of a tribunal or MRP decision that results in a suspension?

No.

Gil's wet dream is a Carlton Pies grand final, and he will do whatever he can to make it happen.

β€œMax Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
