Reckon I could kick a goal for Collingwood tonight, which is saying something.

Umps getting ready to pay Pies 100000 frees in the finals.

How did this bombers team inflict the biggest loss on us this year?

 Crazy

They actually looked slick, impressive and hungry when they played us in Gather Round.

Compare that to the rabble on display tonight.

They’re playing Collingwood into form? This is a training run. What do they gain from this other than false confidence?

You’re right Collingwood getting belted would be playing them into form

It was on us for not being smart, taking the red eye flight back to Melbourne. Short break before playing in Adelaide.

Think there will be a clean out coming at the bombers...

Dodoro will somehow be safe. Blokes been there since 98 , list manager 13 years. It's just outrageous he's still there

I think Casey would be a more worthy opponent tonight...geeh 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

186 coming right up

And wouldn’t it be perfect to happen against these rivals.

I can recall a certain top 4 contender last year leading by 11 goals in the 2nd quarter in the final game, only to prove to be a bust in the finals.

Not too concerned about Collingwood’s uptick in form.

Well the good news is, finish 4th and we play the Pies. Now let’s hope for many many Pies injuries.

Great work bomber FD.

Reckon they can take this confidence into the offseason.

And we were playing at the Gabba.

That was such an unforced error by us in terms of preparation.

The Dogs did the complete opposite to us and had a solid win in WA the week after Gather Rd.

Unless Brisbane loses and there's a tiny chance to finish 2nd.

I heard that the Bombers players were taking out of date drugs supplied by Dank !!!! performance reducing.

Port won’t lose and I don’t want to finish 3rd thanks

Bombers

from 8-4

to 3-8

soft [censored]

This isn’t even tanking. It’s disdainful. Capitulation. Surrender. Truly embarrassing, and that’s coming from supporters who have seen their fair share of this sort of thing.

Also, the Weid is their sole goal kicker haha

Good luck to anyone that has an Essendon player for anytime goal kicker in their same game multis.

I wonder if anyone had our old friend in the Weid in the anytime goal kicker same game multi?

More bad than traveling to the MCG yes

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
