Will take that finish to the half any day of the week. We are getting skinned on the outside at the moment.

I cannot figure out why they are bouncing off so many tackles, we're winning the tackle count but there just isn't enough wrapping up.

To win this we will probably need to make it a score from clearances game. I'm on level 4 on the Wing so have a very good view of structure and setup. Kozzie was in the middle for the first bounce and no others. His pace at ground level can't be ignored, it WILL give them problems. Get him in there more for the love of God. 

And note to  opposition teams match day entertainment. No one cares for the are you paying attention thing, I'm trying to write this.

    It’s too risky to activate the sub this early. If we cop an injury we are in trouble. 
    They won’t make the change until late in the third at the earliest.

    Tigers are playing very good footy. Unfortunately Harmes missed those two shots at goal - he kicks those and his game looks very different. As it is he is worst on ground.

    Without Clarry and Sparrow we are very one dimensional. Gus, Viney and JJ aren’t fast.

    Kozzie won the first few centre clearances at the start of the match then goody put him in the forward line.

    We have to get on top in the contest. The only way to beat the Richmond chaos ball, is to get your hands on the ball more and first.

    Must get on top in the middle. If we invite too many defensive entries they are going to stuff us.

    Richmond kaos ball going i50 is showing up May and Lever, who both cannot bend over to get the ball. Their small/med forwards tearing up up

    Very damm simple he has no tank put him in for a full quarter and that's him, great speed in short bursts and sometimes that's how some players are, then they become a liability sooner him stay inside the 50 metre arc more dangerous.

    Melksham really struggles to play more than one good game in a row. Now it's three. Chandler only one good act. Jvr has been okay but needs to hold more marks.

     

    Tigers are desperately playing for their finals chances. We really have to step up in the second half. 

    Well this is the quarter we will see if we want a flag more than these pretenders want to scrape into the eight.

      The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
