Watched Collingwood v Carlton last night, the Blues played better, with more intensity and pressure and the Pies wilted at times. The Blues have knocked off No.1 & No.2 on the ladder convincingly. The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the toothless ones and the nauseating pro Pies media was like a symphony to my ears.

Currently flicking between Doggies v GWS and Geelong v Freo on Kayo. GWS are pretty insipid so far. Cats lacklustre too ...

Ah, the beautiful sound of the inbreed cats fans booing when the umpires don't favour them. Entitled [censored].

I'm getting a strange premonition that the Blues' run will be a bit like our 2018 - break into finals with a bit of form, win an elimination final over a roughly-equal team due for a letdown, have a special night out in a semi-final beating a vulnerable top-4 team, and then get absolutely splattered in a prelim.

Coming up against any of Saints, Cats or Giants, the Blues would certainly feel they had the upper hand at the moment. Given that they've now beaten Collingwood as well as giving Port a thorough whack, anything is possible.

Collingwood out in straight sets to Melbourne then Carlton... oh, the humanity!

Jeez Tom Hawkins is looking very old and slow today. It's about time.

Now he’s hobbling off. Doesn’t look bad but at his age it might not be good either if it’s a calf

Tell me again how Geelong are a threat to our top 4 spot 🙄

I think you'll find the media narrative shifted to the Blues as of about 10pm last nite.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
