So good seeing the Filth get a few umpiring decision go against them. And aren't their fans, sooking about it.

Can't the bloody goal umpire's call be believed.   Another waste of time - obvious touched into behind post.

Pendlebury, getting a free kick for staging.

Let’s see if he gets a fine from the match review officer.

why do commentators call goals ‘majors’?

wtf is a major?

Majors and minors, bit of an old time phrase I think .

Never been a port hater at all.

But this is great to watch by them!

Should we call them a six pointer?

Just like the Yanks, call a basketball three-pointer?

To be fair, I think they call goal more than they do major.

like back in the 60’s they called a goal a major?

Yeah wouldn't be surprised if it was popular around then.

Well obviously the power should be a further 3 goals ahead.

The pies know they can come back. This margin won't bother them.

Just hope they don't.

I love Boak. What a warrior.

How good was the bump on Noble!

If Pies lose tonight they’ve only lost 3 games for the season, they just happen to be against 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the ladder. But they will still occupy top spot and many will say they are still the best team and Nick Daicos is the best player in the competition.

It’s often referred to in match reports as a major, as in Petracca booted 10 majors in the 2023 Grand Final.

Sounds like a dodgy Wikipedia article but I like it.

Dunno why the Port supporters are chanting Mel-Bourne.
But I like it.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
