Looks like this weekly thread hasn't been started yet.   There's some difficult games to tip.

But I really just wanted an excuse to post this picture of a young Harry Sheezel with one of his childhood heroes.

They'll be playing against each other this weekend!

Bulldogs have a nice little deal going with their Ballarat games. Reportedly they get $1M from the State Government to play there.

Could we have a game in say sunny Mildura.

The irony is that the ground capacity in Ballarat is so small most Dog supporters don't bother with the trip

Gees Geelong’s midfield looks really ordinary this weekend against the Dockers. Wouldn’t be surprised at all…

Agreed. Duncan was their only decent mid last weekend and he is out

Freo should win easy at home

the Blues v Pies should be interesting

Carlton under the pump will come out hard

aside from that not too much of interest

the Giants are my tip for an upset against Saints. and Freo to beat Cats still counts as an upset

Reckon North are a chance against Sydney. Swans have been well down recently.

Very tough round to tip. You could make a reasonable case for how each team could win.

And I'm jumping off the death ride this week. I want to see the Cats lose even if it does hurt our draft position.

MFCSS

swans

dogs

freo

bears

druggies

hawks

filth

saints

Crows are a real chance against the Dogs. A cold wet day on Mars favours their direct playing game as against the tall forward play of the Dogs

Meth Coast must have run over a black Cat and Broke Untold number of mirrors. They now have flu though the team.

they want that #1 pick (that they're going to trade to us)

How good would it to end up with pick One and Two.

i imagine we'll package our 2x 2023 1st rounders and 1x 2024 1st rounder for pick 1

i want a premiership and pick 1 kplsthxbye

The AFL would change the rules in advance.

On the one hand, nothing pleases me more than a Geelong loss. On the other hand, MY PRECIOUS DRAFT PICKS💔

Reckon nth can knock off Sydney & I give Freo a chance.

Last week a Collingwood supporter on social media was going on about Mason Cox saying he was up for trade and how stupid do the other clubs look not being interested, I replied with no we took Brodie Grundy instead. Thanks for him by the way.

Hope Richmond win tonight because Essendon have a couple of cruisy weeks.

I see nth players have said they want to put a smile on Clarkson's face and they'll have extra motivation. I would have thought maybe doing that while he was coaching

Paul Curtis with a brilliant goal for North. That was special.

West Coast showing an absolute masterclass in tanking, planting a flu virus in their remaining fit players.

Hopefully the AFL can see that it's injuries and sickness and no priority pick is needed.

Looks like a full house in Ballarat. I didn't think the dogs fans would travel.

Only has a capacity of 11k so it's usually a sell out

It's the same travel time as Geelong from Melbourne so it's not a long travel. Not much further than Casey from the Melbourne CBD in travel time.

Why Bulldogs are paid $1M to play there by the State Government... who knows

They don't bring 11k to the MGC hence my surprise.

i suppose the locals head along which bumps up the crowd.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
