That free was just incredible.

When are umps going to be relegated for trash like that?

Demonland about to melt down that we donโ€™t win a match by 100 points.

Because that's what good teams would do. I bet if this was geelong or Collingwood they'd do it

The Hollywood of umpiresย

I feel sorry for shak - huge ย opportunity and showing zero intensity. Doubt if he will be asked again. โ˜น๏ธ

Yeah Iโ€™m surprise at just how uncompetitive heโ€™s been, North as close to VFL standard your gonna get in the AFL

People don't seem to understand that 100+ point thumpings aren't common anymore. Teams like to hold off a bit when they get to big leads early.

ย

Razor what a disgrace.

Watches on and allows less experienced umpire under his watch to pay that putrid free to Zeibal!!

Penalising player for playing in front who only had eyes for the ball (Schache)

Why? He controls his intensity. If he was having a dip but not showing much for it, fine.

ย

But he's not.

Umpiring very sympathetic to Norf this quarter.ย

Razor just warming up to the spotlight that he cravesโ€ฆ

Will be hoping to chat to Whately this week about how well he umpired, and whether his mic was loud enough.

Ed Langdon having a quiet one. Only the 7 touches and seems to be struggling with his touch.

Blasphemy alert

jvr not exactly running riot but ย at least workin up the wing and contestingย

JVR 5, Schache and Kozzy 3 each. ย Not sure who kicks the other 15 goals.

North were witches hats the last two weeks and whatever resistance they muster wonโ€™t last long. ย And as Iโ€™m a supporter, it doesnโ€™t matter if Iโ€™m taking them lightly. MFC by 60+ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Need a big last quarter by JVR and Schache

This last term should be a blood bath ....although the umps are out to limit the damage as much as they can

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
