Easily top 5, maybe even top 3

A real hobsons choice this one. I want neither side to win so I think I'll barrack for the Weid to have a good game and kick some goals.

Setterfield with the shocking turnover. Bombers skills dire so far

Hawkins will kick a bag and stringer will struggle today especially after a short break. It will test his fitness.

Hope the Essendon fans are enjoying the start

I don't like seeing the Cats play this well.

But it is fun to watch Essendon embarrass themselves.

Only seen Hawkins last two goals, now has 4. Number 3 he pushes off Zerk Thatcher to the face and number 4 he grabs the jumper of his opponent and holds him away. Commentators applaud his play and umpires do nothing.

WHY WON’T GEELONG DIE

someone die GIF

You’d think they finally passed away the year we beat them three times in the one season, and yet here we are.

(and why has an elderly man got 4.1 to his name by quarter time)

Geelong seem to have a fortunate habit of playing teams when theyre vulnerable most recently  injured swans now tired essendon.

Geelong should have them cooked by half time. Geriatric Hawkins 4 goals already is absurd.

Crows should do the same to pies.

Having 4 umps should  help to stop Hawkins cheating and pushing defenders out of the way .

But it wont. Just wait for our game at the cattery. Itll be comical.

How nice to be sitting out in the sunshine at the footy.

As opposed to the freezing night last night

Last night was pretty pleasant for April.

I thought you couldn’t push a player away if the ball was further away than 5m or some such. Yet I see a Hawkins all on his own metres away from the bloke he pushed over just as a 49m pass is kicked. So he pushed the bloke over when the ball was even further away than 40m. No free. Do that to him and he gflays his arms about and gets a free

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
