More info please.  Don't recognise the reference to 'Bogan 1'.

I think OD is referring to Virgin Airlines a lot of a shemozzlw.

No Jetstar

A bit like all of us..

I stopped going some years ago. Sadly an influx of poor behaving Aussies and Russians have ruined a paradise some years ago.

Are you speaking from  experience or just not spoiling a good story with a mistruth OD.

I can only say in over 20 years of domestic travel I have never been redirected or had to stay over because of a fault with Jetstar.

I have I believe heard of some Jetstar International maybe two/three times  leaving air passengers in Asia over that period. But nothing like you are asserting.

As with most Airlines there has been a very small instance since Covid return of cancelled flights mainly due to lack of staff and Jetstar has experienced that which I was effected. Would be about once/ twice in 12 mths.

But once again  your penchant for a completely negative tone seems to have overridden  and exaggerated the real truth again.

I have over the same period travelled majorly with Tiger ( and Virgin) and it was never even what you assert Jetstar to be. Saved about $5000 with Tiger compared to Qantas prices also.

Cheaper Airlines flights are always more liable to have slip ups and whatever class of passenger mostly recognise  this when booking.

Maybe you expect Qantas pre Covid standards and service with Jetstar's lower prices.

The only thing I've heard about Dillon is Demetriou was a mentor🤮

Then you are very lucky, I have had flights delayed 9 hours, flights cancelled. Numerous flights run 4-5 hours late. My daughter stuck in Bali for 3 days. No I don't expect the same as Qantas. I have had numerous flights on cheap airlines e.g. southwest and Scoot. The flights left on time and did not land half way through the flight. Why can't you accept that Jetstar is an airline that quite often cannot get the basics right. The only think they have done right in recent times is to not buy 737 max planes. Thank god the Irishman is leaving.

Remember MM that it was Demetriou that provide the cash to Peter Jackson to get us back on track including the hiring of Paul Roos.!!

Yep flights getting cancelled on way to Cairns airport after driving 100ks from Daintree with two other people is not funny.

You must be a very lucky traveller.

I was going to say Jetstar not so much Bogan as Agricultural .... much of a muchness.  I would put Virgin as the better of the Cheap lot.

That you've experienced enchanted services with little delays, cancellation and other frustrations ... I'm envious, truly

All in all I concur with some, Joyce's departure is a good thing.

Maybe the incoming might concentrate on running an airline... not a wine-selling,mortgage-broking insurance peddler.

Oh yeah Go Dees

Mentors, @Mincho Mania and @DeeZone?

I'm imagining something nearer parents: he's arrived at his apparent destiny, has ANDREW D(emetriou/G)ILLON(McLachlan)!

And speaking of Dill'n'Gill, the 'Front Bar' lads had them on for a grill last night. Bit of fun.

I enjoyed their attack on Dill n Gil very funny and they took it in their stride, they were all in very good form.!!!

In Thailand the Russians and Ukrainians are a hot mess. Theyre everywhere nowdays. Crime, mafia  numpties. Australians are mostly well behaved with the occassional bogan smashing up his room or vomiting on bargirls.

British are in a league of their own. Young, old ,male female. Cant handle alcohol.

Things can and do go terribly wrong if you screw up here.  Bali is probably more laid back..

As for Dillon . Wait and see the 2024 fixture. If we get flicked to the Cattery and Norf in Tasmania then he's just another AFL exec who gives F all about MFC.

Edited by Deebauched

Dillon's got a lot to prepare for:

- 'Fixing' the AFL Fixture

- Letting thugs off

- Preaching head safety then p***ing it off

- Smiling for the stupid cameras

Goody,

Lets hope under Dillon the fixture stays compromised, drafting stays compromised, umpiring stays compromised like in the last 5 mins of a premil we won't pay obvious free kicks becuse we wouldn't want to ruin the game aka we won't X team to win, stays, and oh how could i forget the tribunal and the boys clubs cluture so we can continue to milk the $$$

My personal fav though is, lets change the time the GF is played so we can sell teh product more readily internationally, $$$$ for all [censored] the actual game.

Go AFL.

*** You might have guessed im a bit of a pessimist on the AFL and it's integrity. For example, lets preach popular social causes, but profit from gambling activities.... What a great bunch of leaders we have at the AFL, preach to the blind and hope no one asks questions.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front. They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
