Assuming Freo win, we are very lucky to get pick 5 out of a 10 win season

the team in ninth are on 11 wins

We have done well overall

Still could end up with 4 & 5.

Looking like the worst possible result today with Freo starting to belt the Hawks and Gold Coast barely scraping by.

Still a decent result all up to get pick 5 from the Jacko trade last year.

If north win, Reid is still on. ND5 with a 10 win season is a bit overs for Freo so I am glad to take it from them.

True, would rather the earlier pick locked in place though. Still a chance.

Freo really shouldn't have finished 5th from bottom. Great for us but a big under achievement for them.

We would have ripped Peter Bellends arms off for pick 5 or 6 last trade period.

Great result for the club at the end of the day.

Not stressed one bit, extraordinary bit of business by JT and his merry men and women.

Wow what are North doing?!

Reid back on the cards here?!?

The twists and turns of all the death rides and scenarios confuse the [censored] out of me!

Hawks are 27 down with 5 to go in the third, if they can get it down to 21 or under they might make a late run.

Suns would have to be the softest team in the league. From leading Kangas by 28 points up to now down by 5 goals. Wow Hardwick was thinking his new job is Xmas … he might be challenged !! His best toys are soft toys!!!

22 point lead to the Roos with 5 to go in the third.

Looking like North and the Dorkers will win, which means we could will trade with Meth Coast. Adelaide should beat them so will get pick 5 and pick 23 from them to go will out 1st and 2nd picks this year.

18 points but not sure how long left, could Gold Coast make a late run?

I'll answer my own question GC need 6 goals to win now so I reckon providing Adelaide does the right thing then the option with WCE is still alive

31 with 9 mins isn’t safe but I can’t see it happening.

Full credit to North for putting in the effort today. Unfortunately Freo did the same. As long as our trustworthy recruiters are on the ball again, those juicy extra picks should more than compensate for the loss of Jackson. Mind you, I'm still sorry he chose to leave.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
