Why can’t he be groomed to play key forward? His contested marking is very impressive and seems to read the game well. We have Disco to groom yas a key back. Many options.

JT was just saying he has played key forward.

Sheesh those MFC highlights are pretty impressive.

Reminds me a lot of Tom Stewart.

Yes, good attack on the footy in the air. Bigger [censored] than MJ - I reckon he is more ready than Jefferson to help out in AFL.

Reminds me a lot of Petty. I'd be very happy with a Petty Stewart hybrid.

Welcome to the Dees Jed Adam’s, to me Adams appears a bit more mature than MJ and he mentioned that he had played ruck/forward as well. Looks like a great pickup  by the recruiters. Feeling much better about the composition of our list now, just like another young ruck then go hard at the mids, flankers next year.

Added welcome.

Injuries are a major concern,

And/or frees up Petty to play key forward at some point.

Seems to be keen to get the ball moving, I like that; and leadership qualities.

Modelling game on Stevie but Rick for facial hair

He looked more like Lever than May or Petty on the limited highlights I saw. looked liked a player who backed his instincts on the intercept.

Agree but Adams seems ideal type to replace May’s position  as last man defence .As long as we can keep him

Happy with the pick. We now have Turner, Petty and Adams as the pillars of defense for many future years.

"Jed Adams is a Peel kid so he’s part of the alignment with Fremantle. He had a pretty decent rise this year from not having played a great deal of footy with injury.

“He came into our State Academy for the first time this year and with Jedd Busslinger and Hugh Davies we had a plethora of key defenders so he didn’t come in until our third game, but he took his opportunity and played really strongly in those last two games.

“He managed to debut at league level for Peel and held himself in good account until he hurt his shoulder which put him out for the rest of the year.”

“He’s an exciting prospect. He’s athletic, he kicks the ball well, he marks the footy at its highest point and he’s got significant upside. I feel so he would be a great one for Fremantle to call out.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!
