Not sure if anyone caught Clayton Oliver’s interview on Fox News this evening. Doesn’t instil a lot of confidence that he’ll be back next week let alone this week. Unless he is taking the [censored]. “He hasn’t finished a training session yet”

Was such a strange interview. Clarry was just flat out weird tbh.

yeah idk… Thursday night will tell, I guess.

I definitely feel for Harry. I missed the Sydney Olympics 400m final with the same injury. True story.

It’s still fresh in my memory. I had gone to the bathroom and was running back to the TV to watch the 400m final when I slipped on the marble floor and jammed my foot between the couch and floor, sustaining the dreaded lisfranc ligament injury. I was rolling around the floor in agony while the race was run.

This imagery had me rolling around in laughter, thank you!

Not to dismiss your horrid injury. Hope all is operating as it should now.

And pretty rude I have to say.

Don't stop if you don't want to talk. Got soft ball questions too.

And did actually say he hadn't 'got thru' a training session yet.

I think he is over all of the attention about a hamstring. He will be liked a caged animal when he runs out on Saturday

Yeah exactly.

I know media is not his thing blah blah blah but the arrogance of the man spilled over a bit too much here tbh

Just not a good look, Bin.

It didn’t come across as arrogance to me. He seemed uncomfortable and like he doesn’t want to jinx it or discuss it. He also has no media nous at all. He gives weird half answers. It’s how he’s always been.

Then just don't stop. Plsyers wave off media all the time. I bet he does too.

Rather just walk on by then. Not like he’s obliged to do it.

Weird.

Weird.

Particularly because he made it sound as it was actually very unlike he would play.

And richo said he almost certainly would in the club injury vid - which I think (hope) was after the training session, but that wasn't clear either.

I don't see that interview as arrogant, rude or whatever....that is just him, awkward and weird plus a hate for the attention. Nothingball.

We’ll that’s it Bin.

Both Goody & Richo have pretty much said he’s good to go, yet Claz himself doesn’t exude a hell of a lot of confidence, does he?

Just taking the [censored]? Yeah, hopefully…

A lot of fugazi going on here. And way too much being made of a nothing interview from a guy who can’t string two coherent words together.
Train tomorrow. Play Saturday.

Anyone ever see Frazer gerigh interviewed. A pretty good bloke. Just wanted to play football. Same.

Spot on.

I wonder if he’ll fake a hamstring on Saturday night. As for people commenting on his media ability, get a life. I liked it, so much better than the scripted bullsith most players roll out.

My mental health and his hamstring

Dont Give Up Hang In There GIF by Holly Logan

Lads, Clarry would've played 3 weeks ago if he had the choice. He's being a dope because that's his character.

The day before his infection he was shirtless, wet, barefoot, covered in grass in a parking lot saying he hopes he can get a game.

For me, this interview and the one earlier in the season are the best interviews I've seen all year.

Reading between the lines, if that is possible with a Clarry interview...

Is there a disconnect between player, the HPT and the coaches/assistant coaches ideas as to what he has to tick off at training vs where each of them (including Clarry hinself) 'thinks' he is at recovery wise.

I get the impression Clarry believes he's been right to go for a while but is being held up by the either the HP process (or head of) and/or one or more of the coaches.  Possibly just the HP dept!

In other words, Clarry believes it's just a training session to get through, which in his eyes is a minor thing with a few easy hurdles, but that he may be blocked by someone (or others) imposing overly severe hurdles (in his eyes).

I get the impression he is skirting around all that.  Trying not to blurt something out along those lines and aware that it would not be a good look to go public with any sort of disunity type issue no matter how miniscule, small or something a little more significant (for him)?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
