Did anyone else see the topic and thought his hammy had blown up again?

Anyway, Yze sounded really confident on radio that he's on the right path and will playing games within 2-3 weeks.

(I've learnt not to hang off every word Goodwin says in his interviews)

If he can get the last 3 games in before finals, then that would be a good result. Even better if we can knock off Richmond without him.

Don't you mean "when" ?

I don’t think the FD are playing games. I presume the hospitalisation due to infection significantly impacted his conditioning and delayed his return.

frustrating for sure but the silver lining is he’ll be raring to go and cherry ripe for finals

I reckon Goodwin is giving us nothing after he told us 10 times Clarry will play next week, when Clarry in fact did not play the following week.

Yze would be much more in the know anyway since he’s Clarry’s direct line coach, so would have conversations with him on the daily.
He is probably sage cleansing and praying daily for the return of his star player! 😂

And here I was thinking I'm pretty laconic.

Got that wrong.

Looking forward to your non-laconic podcast.  We love the nitty gritty.  😀

Yep i think more so on the impact on Clarry and putting indirect/unnecessary pressure on him to be fit and healthy. I think he'll come back and play against Norf and get some match fitness before he is then really tested against the Blues the week after. I found what Yze said in relation to him joining the team for full training an interesting statement as the track watchers have already mentioned that he has been doing that for quite a few weeks. Was that perhaps an indication that he has recovered and now its all about building match fitness?

He has been out for a long time does he come back via Casey or straight in? Medical sub might be good.

Casey would be a kick in the bum, sub would be a plank across the guts.

He won't have played for over 2 months by the time he gets back, could be closer to 3. He is not Superman.

Nothing released officially by the club on their website or socials but this was on the AFL Website.

Medical room: The full AFL injury list, R20

PLAYER INJURY ESTIMATED RETURN
 Bayley Fritsch  Foot  4-5 weeks
 Tom McDonald  Ankle  1-3 weeks
 Clayton Oliver  Hamstring  2-3 weeks
 Harrison Petty  Ribs  Test
 Daniel Turner  Wrist  4-5 weeks
 Kye Turner  Groin  TBC
Updated: July 25, 2023

Early prognosis

Petty should be fit to face the Tigers after the club erred on the side of caution for the Adelaide clash. Oliver is still at least a fortnight away as he builds his ability to hit top speed, while McDonald continues to train with the main group as he closes on a playing return. – Michael Rogers

He’s way better than Superman. How many All Australian teams and coaches awards has Superman won? None.
He is a hack.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. Looks like the leadership group is TMac, Viney Chandler and Petty. They look like they have sli

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #18 Jake Melksham

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. He has re-signed on to the Demons for 1 more season in 2025. Date of Birth: 12 August 1991 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 229 Goals MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 188

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. 2024 Player Reviews: #39 Koltyn Tholstrop

The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025.
