Congratulations Troy you are doing a great job with our backline, I hope that you stay with us whilst we are in the premiership window. Big accolade for future Resume.❤️💙

We’ll done Chappy

Now just need Yze and Stafford to get their [censored] together. Mid-fwd connection has been so poor

What are the selection criteria for an award like that?

Nice one Chappy! No idea how they assess input of assistant coaches for an award like this but he's obviously done something right.

Wasn't a fan of his in the early days but clearly he's developed into an excellent line coach.

Will probably be in the frame for a senior coach in the coming years.

It's voted on by all the AFL coaches (head coach & assistants).

I think they might be a little more diligent than when the players vote their awards.

2nd year in a row least scored against.

Also our defensive structure and full ground ‘web’ has been 4 years in the making according to Gawn (interview last year) and driven by Chaplin.

Worthy winner. I wonder if we should shuffle people around.

I don’t believe that just because he is a former defender that he can’t take over the forward line. The new coach of GWS, a former back pocket, coached Riewoldt at St K and Nick is adamant he was the best forwards coach he ever had.

Well at least it isn’t the umpires - “can’t find the possession numbers - what do we do now”?

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
