Jesus, the other players don't like us do they? Viney, Gawn and Oliver all up for an award and none get it

80% of the players don’t even watch enough footy to properly vote in this. The coaches award and probably the rising star award is the only award with integrity.

Andrew Brayshaw worthy winner.

Didn't see enough Freo to disagree, but the AFL players MVP is for mine the least of the awards. Majority of players don't watch more than one game a week other than their own. Many none at all

I'll go into bat for Paddy Dangerfield. Yes, he comes across a bit too sincere at times, but most players can't put two sentences together without mentioning "the boys", or "good team effort" or "I just play my role". Basically, all the stuff they are taught in PR classes when they first make it to their first club.

He asks genuine questions, can string some thoughts and words together, as is a bloody good footballer.

On a different matter, no way is Pendlebury captain of the year. Lots of other candidates.

C'mon Pendles is an absolute champion.

I agree he’s a ripper, but the footage I saw of him late in that Carlton win was damning. He didn’t chase his opponent and left him alone forward of the ball. Then Collingwood won the ball back because of a terrible Carlton decision and Pendles was on his own in the middle of the ground -because he didn’t work back. The rest is history. He got very, very, very lucky.

There are always players stiff to miss out on AA. Sicily damn unlucky but the 6 who were selected had great years.

5 inside midfielders named across the centre line of the AA team.

Every team would be confident to get them for speed on the outside.

I thought Sam Walsh would have been a lock.

They need to choose wingmen for the AA wing positions. Touk Miller definitely deserves his place n the AA team but not on the wing.

And 3 Geelong forwards is a bit much.

Christ ...both the Geelong girls got in!

They butchered the forward line. CHarlie Cameron should have got SF and J Cameron on the bench for Lynch.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
