Geez that's potentially a huge kick in the nethers for DeGooey!

If Collingwood really have pulled their contract offer then I'd expect St Kilda and Essendon to be all over him like flies on a chocolate otter.

Saints would be a good fit - or Bombers (as others have said could find a good mate in Stringer)

Maybe Mono. The picture might clear a bit when the filth make some sort of a statement about this matter.

Part of what upset Coll/AFL was the statement he put out from Bali blaming the media for persecution of athletes ie of him.  The media did not go to NY or Bali and film him.  It is Jordy allowing himself to be filmed and by the look of it enjoys being in front of the camera.  His statement is typical 'woe is me'.  He just doesn't get it.

It is almost certain that Coll/AFL put in behavioural conditions, whether they end up on social media or not, prior to taking him back after the NY fiasco.  Conditions and trust which appear to have been breached in Bali.  He will be lucky to get a contract from the Pies let alone a long term one on big $.  Even then the contract on the table was 2 years with 'triggers' for 2 years albeit on big $.

If he had been at Melbourne he would have been cut years ago as a 'culture' risk.   Any club with a no DH policy would not take him.   Leopards do not change their spots.

There's a lot of Chris Tarrant the first time round at Collingwood about this. I think the Pies are eventually going to have a gutful.

Double use of 'eventually'. Tired.

Shows how people can develop and mature. Chris is now a successful businessman, developer I think.

It does. Not all is totally lost for him but the guy is going to need to put in serious work on himself. I do hope for his sake he can.

Doesn't seem the new "do better plan " is working. I am at a loss to understand why young people don't get it about filming themselves and the internet. Especially those at an AFL club who would be warned on the dangers constantly.

I think it is more likely that our power problems will be solved first.

Ginnivan is shaping up to be another 'high maintenance' player.

Funny LH I thought that a few weeks back.

He is still a kid, so there's some chance he'll grow a few more brain cells.

De Gooey on the other hand, appears to be shedding them.

I don't Chris Tarrant from a bar of soap, and he is probably a well rounded, mature bloke.

But, in my experience, being a successful businessman and developer is no guarantee he is not a immature [censored]

Thank you so much for this wonderful euphemism which is a new one to me and shall be filed for future use.

Perhaps we could Orstralianise it.

A chocolate possum, a chocolate ferret possibly. In extreme cases - a chocolate wombat.

I love that word Bbo. “ Orstralianise “ can I use it?

Agree with this a fair bit.

From my understanding the Tik Tok thing is very popular amongst those younger demographic and is quiet harmless.

All they're doing is no different to what every other 18-20 year old rat bag is doing on social media.

DeGoey on the other hand.. soon to turn 27 and still carries on like he's 17. If he's not going to learn now then he never will.

I've surprisingly got great hope for our power issues now OD.

Not sure that makes this behaviour ok.

They were publicly objectifying girls on the internet. This isn't private locker room talk. These guys are role models.

I am not sure that just because you play in the AFL you have to be a role model. I understand the bit about not bringing the game into disrepute, but being a role model is another level altogether. Even being a model citizen, doesn’t require you to be a role model.

When do we get the angry texts from the Malthouse handover period, plastered across the papers?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
