Jeez - we've given ourselves a shot here.

Glad the coaches read Demonland - go fast was clearly the need and the girls started to deliver that in the last portion of that quarter.

9 points. Come on Dees

We kept them goaless. If we kick the first we can overun them. Our intensity was great.

Come on do it for your captain

Umpire really called that 3 metre kick a mark…

Absolute insanity - at the other end the Birch to Paxman 16m kick was called play on.

Where was this intensity in the first half?

Crows choked last year. It'll be playing on their mind. gotta get the first goal now.

Come on girls. You can do it

Not correct. They kicked a goal in the first minute of Q3.

Much better. On ballers actually starting to defend as well. Chaos ball is our best chance with forwards playing in front. Would also love to see Mithen and Paxman use the stand rule to full effect if you don’t have the leg for a set shot.

Oh yeah that happened so quickly. Hope the same doesn't happen this quarter

Where was this at the start?

Mithens a butcher.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
