Not sure about that

The State Sport Centres Trust governs three of Melbourne’s best known sporting facilities: Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville – the state’s home of netball and hockey – and Lakeside Stadium.”

Kate's first project is to demolish them and build a state of the art facility for the MFC.

it's not so much the association with any particular sports precinct but the association and acceptance with the state government and the sports minister that has to be a benefit

Hopefully the new MFC base is firmly in place - just awaiting Government announcement - or if not, could this new appointment for Kate be some form of a conflict of interest for her in also leading MFC's push for our new home?

Some very nice green unused spaces in Parkville.

Didn't worry Eddie McGuire when he headed Athletics Australia & shunted them off Olympic Park

The 'stars' (all varieties), are continuing to align for the Melbourne Football Club.

Jesus that’s a bloody big Dees facility, Parkville to South Melb! I like it!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
