Agree. Carlton won’t get any better and eventually a couple of wheels will fall off

I remember hearing this every week last year from my friends about us!

It’s not just about how well Carlton are playing, it’s the sheer amount of talent they have now.

Always helps when your talent is fit.
Curnow's been injured for 3-4yrs and Cripps the last 2.
Hope the seasons too long and they break down again.
I know too many Carlton supporting floggs.
Prefer it when they're quiet.

Backline is still suspect. No ruckman.
Midfield and Forwards are elite.

Same.
You don't win flags in April/May/June/July etc, etc till we won one in September.
Ha, ha ... Suck it fools.

As per Collingwood, this 1000% manic intensity of footy is totally unsustainable especially when you don’t have a defensive structure to hold onto a lead and shut a game down.
Good lists are one thing. Good systems are another. Both Carlton and Pies need to adjust their system if they want to go deep in September

Melbourne 2018.

I still rate Carlton.

I also rate Carlton. They have a list they can build something really good with and their draw is a complete joke so they should make the 8 comfortably.
But until they sort out their defensive two way running work, and can sustain their attacking game style for 4 quarters, I will not be backing them in for a flag.
As you said Melbourne 2018. Up, down, glitz and glamour attacking dazzle, and then a complete blow up against top sides and when the heat comes.

Carlton have 1 good half of my footy per game. Keep them to within 4 goals and you can over run them in the 2nd half.

Proven again today.

What on earth are the blues happy about.? 4 h goals after 1/4 time.

Wtf.

To be going life and death with Doggies and Hawks so early in the season is not good news for the baggers, will slow down big time at the half way point of the season

I’ve spent the entire game in a chat, me and seven diehard Blues fans. I’m not sure but I think at least three hearts stopped. 😂

Edit: mine wasn’t one of them. ❤️💙

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
