lol how dumb are people with their phones, as if it's not being filmed by a thousand other people. Why not just enjoy the moment?

But but but then they canโ€™t post it themselves and get all those likes. Thatโ€™s what life is about after all

ย

This is farcical!

PS: where is Geelong? Are they even still there?

ย

Delighted for Lance. Seems like a lovely guy

Superstar. Huge achievement in these times to kick 1000 goals. Well done Buddy. Wish youโ€™d played for the team you supported as a kid ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ”ต

That gave me anxiety. Feel so unsafe. Doesnโ€™t take much for some looney to get on there with a knife or something. Itโ€™s insane.ย

ย

Can they actually resume the game? ย  The game is done - maybe Geelong should concede.

The entire Sydney side will be out with covid next week.ย

Epic fail by the security. No way could they stop the crowd from running onto the field, but not one got to Buddy before the crowd. Really dangerous.ย

Well done Buddy for handling that so well. I would have panicked in that press from that crowd.

And well done Buddy - unique, unstoppable super star.ย

Canโ€™t do that when percentage can decide ladder position. If they kick one more or two more it could be the difference between 1st, top 4 and top 8.ย

Interviewing him now??!!

How about interviewing him after the match ends! The match that has yet to be completed. The match that is a proper home and away match!

Congrats to Buddy, amazing player. Security were non-existent, that is some freaky scenes.ย

Canโ€™t see it happening again.ย

Clearly the security should have sprinted towards Buddy as he kicked it, and surrounded him. No idea what they were hoping to do other than protect the player.

It's events like this that remind me people are mostly very very stupid.

No ring of security guards around him?! He looked like he was just about hyperventilating as he came off.ย

Sydney are a quality side. Geelong needs to bugger off. Iโ€™m sick and tired of seeing the same bloody players doing the same bloody things.ย

AND they only play well ONLY at Jeelong Moggie house for decrepit old and unloved [censored].

ย

OK - time to clear the ground, NOW. ย Enough is enough.

Imagine the reaction if (a) a player does a hammy in the remaining 5 minutes and / or (b) one or both teams come down with Covid during the week.

Is there a curfew time for sporting events to be finished by at the SCG?

Catching the late session of Bingo is my guess.ย

Did anyone else see a Jeelong player shirtfront a swans supporter? AFL need to look seriously into this

He handled it so much better than I would.ย
I would have had a full on panic attack. Would have also been good if someone could hand him a mask. All I kept thinking is COVID!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
